I think when it converts hunter exp into bloodline exp when you use a level 50, it doesn't actually remove the old hunter exp number from the calculation for your total exp gain.

Overall these rewards are minor and will be available again sometime in the future for purchase. I think they'll improve the delivery system of rewards but as it stands, people who are following community events should be able to log in for 2 minutes once in a week to get the reward, with week long vacations and other similar stuff being a rarity.

Going from selling previously made skins to giving out new ones, going from only BB/DLC hunters to having a guaranteed free one, checking the use data of skins to balance out the teams, going from 3 days redeem code to 7 days

Hunt has existed for 8 years, the people doing these community events probably haven't been along the whole time. It really does seem like this is the first time they're trying this, despite community events with rewards existing back in 2019.
People are making this, not a disembodied corporate entity. And Crytek has been laying off people, bringing in whole new teams from Crysis 4, and generally mixing things up this year.

This is also a growing pain for me. The pricing spread on variant skins does not really match what you are actually getting out of it. If the skins were made around a central theme, then yes it would be more worth it. As-is? Nah.

I've got to say, after a few months of playing almost daily, I have mixed feelings about Hunt. Look, I enjoy many aspects of this game, the gungame is good, I like the mix of PVP and PVE (except Scrapbeak being buggy, idk) and so on, but some people are just a pain to play with or against. The amount of Russians that don't speak a word in English among random teammates, that have teamkilled me dozens of times by now + the Mosin and Auto-4/Maynard Sniper Silencer with subsonic ammo is just getting on my nerves. Like, I still enjoy 4/5 matches, but every now and then there's this match that is just a pain and a waste of 20 minutes, because I cannot think of a way to describe it in a more positive light.

(For context, yeah I'm bitching, after we thought we cleared the server after killing two trios and one duo, there turned out to be a solo rat with Nitro + Dolch camping the extraction).
