You cant stimate how many are returning players and those that are completly new (that would be the ones playing on 2.5 solo, by themselves)

Graphic seems to show in fact quite the opposite: we got an influx of players with 1896 that quickly quitted, and the same ol dudes are still playing

And since it went from 1.5K to 30K, they changed matchmaking so it puts people in matches faster rather than making them wait until it finds one.

Yeah, "grown", but how so? You dont know the MMR of these people. They could be 5 returning. What are the odds they are 2.5 and play solo?

It is simply not a populated elo, therefore, he cant find proper matches

Pre 1896 if you didnt play, your elo was dropped a bit

But to my knowledge that isnt a thing at all

6* isnt as populated as 3, 4 or 5

I mean, the devs itself said it. And we had an useless graphic png that showed us that indeed 3-4 were the most populated pre 1896

Now, via "recent" MMR changes, people were bumped and 5 is very populated too

But we are talking loosely here, as "5" isnt a bracket

You dont get it, stars doesnt equal brackets

You can have a 6 star and 4 star and both have 4.5

In those cases there were obvious mismatches and they were explained

2.5 is not a populated elo = so the game pushes you into whatever lobby

as you are out of the starter lobbies but still low

That was done back in the day to prevent players from derranking and abusing new players

Now new players have like servers for them or some shi, special matchmaking

they can die without losing anything etc

up to a certain point

So getting a 2.5 lobby I imagine it must be hard af

as solo specially

because that would need 2-3 people that average that match mmr score (already hard af) while they need to meet the requirement of not being in the "new" player pool (again, hard af)
