Not really no. As a Solo you got Conduit for example. And since there's basically no vanilla Hunt anymore, there are 4-Shot Boons everywhere. It can be useful when running a melee build or to quickly do a Boss, but it's really not a must-have at all.

FMJ as Knightmare said is the move. It will extend your 2 tap range and allow for wallbangs and prefires. Second of it, know your ranges: it is rng, but that doesnt mean you should use the fanning at 70m (while you can still get a hs sometime). The thing is, same with levering to a certain degree, you need to be totally still, because if you arent, the accuracy gets heavily reduced with chain pistol

This is why it is often said that the chainpistol is a "noob trap", cause it attracts unexperienced players. Sure, it does look cool and it has benefits; but it had (still has, i think) more sway and more learning curve that the normal conversion. Fanning could be great or useless depending on what bracket do you play, but I would suggest, pair it with something that applies pressure. Even an springfield dumdum will do the trick. If you tag them, they have to either fight or seek cover, while you can take advatange of that thanks to FMJ

I really don't like that Crytek mentioned the winning/losing streak MMR modifier. Now every time I get stomped by six stars and check after the match that the whole lobby - except my team of 5s - was full sixes, I just feel, "Well that's what I get for winning the last match". It feels like a punishment.
If the modifier existed without my knowledge I'd probably just chalk it up to bad luck. But knowing the system is basically feeding me to higher ranks on losing streaks feels bad.

I'm trying to give every weapon a fair chance. I'm disappointed by the crossbow for example, but I was pleasantly surprised by Infantry 73L. So far the carabine's firerate is very lacking, so idk.

More or less, dumdum centennial was very situational but very very strong if you were in such scenarios (open fields etc), and given the fact that it came with heavy bleed, if outgunned, you were practically dead

yeah teaming just sometimes happens. I've teamed up with people in Bounty Clash before as a solo. There was one match where someone was hold up in the bounty building and had flooded it with concertina and I told the other team I wont shoot them and they could take the bounty, I just want the concertina guy dead and they agreed with me

i recently 3rd parties a lair fight and killed the last guys 2 other buddies, plus the first 2 attacking teams, i then hear a man ask me, "so uh guys, im quite shit at the game would you down to team up with me and we can split bounty? you taking more?"
we were duo into trios and we said fuck yea sure, so we let him rez his buddies after we took 2 tokens and let them take one and we just chilled out around the map talking to each other for the last 10 minutes of hte match
