I made a break for over a year and before I constantly swapped between 4 and 5 Star (Most played vs 5 and 6 Star Lobbies)
When I came back I had to play again from 3 Star
Since then I won more Rounds than lost and on Average have 4-5 Kills per Round
Made several dozen rounds and still managed to get 4 Star twice, made several wins, and fall both times after 2-3 straight lose rounds with equal kda

Also think maybe if a bullet travels too long inside a hitbox it it nullified.

An update to this, I suppose. After 5 grueling days (tl;dr, the CPU I got was damaged, I had to return it and get a new one, turned out my hard drives are also damaged and causing issues, had to replace them, turns out there were some Windows files on one of the damaged hard drives, had to reinstall windows) I'm back to Hunt, and this time the black screen took like 15 s of waiting. When I get a new SSD drive, it'll be even better. Thanks for info, advice and all that folks.

idk how much time or money this guy has. a full new machine is not cheap

for most long term players it's all about the PvP with other hunters.
while the objective is to kill the boss, banish it, get it's bounty token and extract to get paid. there are no mechanics which hard enforce this, so you could opt to do whatever.
Tho PvP is almost impossible to avoid unless you don't play for the objective and play very stealthily.

Possible solutions for the "Crycloud Error":

Some affected regions have some local issues connecting to the servers recently.
As the servers themselves appear not to be the origin of this issue it is most likely some middle point in the connection between player and game server causing problems.

Some people reported that using a VPN and connecting through a different neighboring country helped in some cases, or switching their server region in the config file to a different one before starting.

To open the config and change to a different server you have to do the following:

1. Go to your Hunt installation folder (SteamsteamappscommonHunt Showdownuserprofilesdefault)
2. Find the file called "attributes.xml" and open the file. (you might need a program like notepad++) to open it properly)
3. search for these lines with the search function (ctrl+f)
   <Attr name="Region" value="eu"/>
   and
   <Attr name="Primary Region Switcher" value="eu"/>
   -# (as this issue is mostly affecting players from europe the EU server is used in this example.)
4. replace "eu" with "us_east" or "russia" or any other server you have a tolerable ping to.
5. save and close. now you should be able to connect to the game again.
