I think it's great that there are now always two activated and two deactivated exits. It gives the game a whole new dynamic. But why does the middle exit always have to be deactivated by default at the start? It makes no sense to me. without dauntless, it was just an extremely unfair way to deal dmg in compounds with little to no risk

worse than explosive crossbow because it applies bleed too, youre dead without surefoot and hoping your positioning is good enough or deep enough in a compound they cant followup since theyll just spam another
