hmm how do i explain, idk how many of these weapon crates will be there in a match but most players will not extract from a match alive. so the amount of scarce weapons being created (not counting transferred ones) is limited to the amount of players extracting alive, assuming they will be picked up 100% of the time.
so the more scarce weapons are around and brought in the more get removed each match by hunters dying, while the less are around the more get created each match by being looted from crates.

it's a self regulating system and i doubt the saturation will have it's equilibrium over one quarter of players each match at average

The issue is that it’s out of your control. It’s the same reason weapon jamming would probably make half the players quit. You can do everything right but if the enemy just randomly has the one tarot card that would save them in that situation tough luck

Those buffs are 100% to bring non long ammo closer to long ammo

The balance is imperfect at its core, long ammo is the big strong best ammo because it's expensive. But the economy is nigh meaningless right now so that doesn't even matter.

But it primarily affected things that were not long ammo, at least with the first two I mentioned. Long ammo was consistent; it two tapped arms at 60m while medium struggled to upper torso at 80m. The limb damage changes made everything more consistent like lomg ammo

Silencers fundamentally change how you engage in a fight, so they should come with nasty penalties

Remember they reworked the whole ammo supply system.
It used to yield a % of your total ammo reserve of your gun(s).
But then they change the ammo resupply system to be a flat rate and buffed the ammobox to yield basically the same amount as it would have done if you were ammo stacking with the old system.
