coming back to hunt, I dislike the concept of pro-actively bringing stuff to protect yourself against things you might encouter. With recovery shots it's not exactly the same situation, since death is common, but I'm more talking about stuff like antidote shot against poison ammo or salveskin against incendiary ammo. It's too binary, and doesn't provide a fun dynamic. You either prepare and nullify something, or you don't and suffer the consequences

I don't think defensive traits or specific counters are just unfun for the user, but also the person being countered. It can feel like a random chance that the thing you're using will either work or not work at all, seeing as there's no way of knowing about their counter or working around it.

And the things that get countered usually arent very strong in the first place lol, so you're getting double punished for not running meta.
