Behavior on Bench Power Supply: According to previous testing at a service center, the device shows initial power consumption but does not complete the boot process (probably high consumption or freezing due to a short circuit). Board Condition: Suspected short circuit in the main circuit ($VDD_MAIN$ or $VCC_MAIN$). The reported overheating indicates that a component (probably a ceramic capacitor) has shorted completely, disabling the PMIC for protection. Tests Performed: Hard Reset (no response). Test with peripherals disconnected (Camera and Front Flex/Face ID). USB connection test without battery (No sign of life/Apple logo). The device is missing the upper flex sensor assembly (earpiece/proximity), but the current short appears to be in the primary power line and not related to peripherals.

if you’re talking about disabling the heating detection it is possible but not advised

you’d do it by disabling the thermalmonitord daemon

Charging it, for example, through a PC would reduce the risk, right? The load is lower.

Most pc ports will charge your phone at 5v 1a (5watt), but some modern pcs can do 20w or more on certain ports
