Basically the device owner died. It doesn't have a pin to use the iPad, but we don't have the apple account password. The family wants to give the iPad to the owners grandkid, but we cant download any apps/games or without the apple acc password.

I read online that this ipad is vulnerable to a factory reset with a certain tool. So I came here to ask question about the process but found out that this tool's name is flagged in this discord after I made this post . Which is understandable given its potential for bypassing icloud locks.
