I use the wf-1000xm5 and there great headphones although I feel like with a tweak it can change my audio codec to LDAC instead of forcing me to use AAC. Let me know if im too far off but i feel like it should be possible with a tweak for the Sony Headphones app and one for iphone to enable LDAC. Im on ios 16.2 using dopamine Ping if responding

I mean, maybe it's possible, not really the person to ask, but as far as my knowledge goes I don't think you can

the music app wont play other codecs
Use foobar2000 / VLC media player for music

or use a different streaming platform

the codec that the streaming / player app matters

your phone and the headphones connect over BT
it doesnt use LDAC there or AAC
Apple wont support any other codec like FLAC / OPUS out of the window so you gotta use a third party player

the output codec matters

spotify only provides up to 320kbit so even if you used something else it will be low-res
