Hello all.

I have a gen 6 iPad running ios 17.7.3 and can't seem to get palera1n to fully execute.

I had it running on here before, but had to restart the ipad this morning and can't seem to get it togo through the process and get to download mode but instead boots exploit free. I get to DFU mode and then do the sequence where i hold home + power, then home and after it says :

I'm using linux and running the command sudo palera1n -l

The only thing i can think of is that my charging port is pretty finicky these days and it might be an issue there. using a usb (old) to lightning cable (have tried a few). i'm not convinced it is though.

if that doesn't work you'll need to use palen1x even though you're on linux

thanks all. Wasn't able to get it to work using Null's method of disconnecting (tried waiting for the apple logo like in the video and tried going in preemptively)... Guess I'll have to find a thumb drive.

well that's a shame. Maybe it'll get fixed at some point in th enext couple of days and I'll just wait it out.

Update: I made a ventoy boot drive with palen1x on it. Went through the process. Saw the Mac logo with the chess piece but then it gets stuck and boots into normal iOS after a while

Sileo and all that is installed, but none of the unsigned apps can run (immediately close).

I have now tried wiping my iPad and restarting and sileo doesnt install

Wouldn’t it be theoretically possible to make a disk partition, install palen1x to that, and boot it?
