First post I've made here, please forgive me if I mess something up with formatting/posting this. Not specifically jailbreaking related but figured it's worth a shot someone here knows about this more than I do. Worse comes to worse I'm willing to jailbreak it to get it functional again (bonus if I can downgrade to ios 6, would be willing to mess around with it for that)
I've used this iPhone 5 for a while now for music, decided to replace screen and battery, after replacing battery, it went onto "restore to iTunes" screen. No biggie, went to restore with iTunes. Halfway through the cord was unplugged by accident.
Don't remember what the iPhone showed after it was unplugged. I believe progress bar was something like halfway done.
Now iTunes says "problem with iPhone that may be fixed with update or restore"
I have tried both updating and restoring the phone through iTunes. It goes through the normal process and seems to restore it fine, iTunes even says its restored when its done, but upon completion, when it restarts it goes back to the iTunes screen.
I've tried the forbidden tools app, has the same result with "Easy Flash" on all flash settings.
"iTunes Flash" gives an error "-1" it says: "Dependency file download failed"
"Pro Flash" won't begin, phone isn't able to enter DFU mode no matter how many times I try, it wont change from the iTunes screen with button pressing.
All flash attempts were with iOS 10.3.4 which is what I had it updated to while it was working.
I get the tools app isn't ideal, are there any better legit ones?
I'm willing to try pretty much anything to get this working again, I do not specifically wish to jailbreak it or something like that but if it comes to that, I'm willing to try. I'm completely fine with any data loss.
If something doesn't make sense please let me know, I'm new to messing with the software side of these.
