I'm experiencing a unique pairing issue with my Apple Watch Series 6 that seems to be related to my previous jailbreak history. Here's the situation:
Background:
- Several years ago (during iOS 13/14), I received an Apple Watch Series 6
- At that time, my iPhone was jailbroken
- Since the watch wasn't officially compatible with iOS 13, I used a jailbreak tweak to enable pairing
Current Situation:
- I've since upgraded to a new iPhone running iOS 18
- The watch has been updated using another phone
- The watch can pair with any phone EXCEPT when I restore from my main iCloud backup
- This backup appears to contain some residual jailbreak-related data that's causing the pairing issue
What I've Tried:
- Visited the Apple Genius Bar (they were unable to resolve the issue)
- The watch pairs successfully with fresh devices not using my backup
What I Need:
- A solution that doesn't require starting fresh, as I have too many important data/settings in my current backup
- Either a way to clean/fix my iPhone backup or a workaround to enable pairing while keeping my data
Has anyone encountered a similar situation or knows of any tools that could help fix corrupted backup data without losing the entire backup?
