3 years ago I updated from iOS 14.4 to iOS 14.8 without restoring rootfs/ uninstalling fugu14. ever since I've had a folder called Fugu14UntetherDYLD in my /var dir. I am now on iOS 17.0 with TrollStore and Filza installed.
Every time I try to delete the folder I get an error message stating that "The file couldn't be saved because you don't have permission."

you are trying to delete a root folder, which you dont have permission
bro it's a /var/ folder
Who owns it/show perms
I changed the permissions of the Fugu14UntetherDyld folder to mobile, but I can’t do the same thing for the files “analyticsd.closure” and “stage2.closure”
both files are located at /var/Fugu14UntetherDYLD/Caches/com.apple.dyld
iirc you can't edit /var on iOS 15 + due to SSV
You would need to wipe the device and not restore from a backup to fix it i believe
/var is editable, you meant /
var is exactly the one folder that you can touch lol
i wonder if i have the same folder
Set group to wheel and try again
it won’t let me
Weird
Yeah try it with newterm
sudo chown mobile:mobile /path/to/file
Oh wait this is iOS 17
17.0 has newterm tho

????
might be a roothide bootstrap moment, not sure
yeah looks like a roothide bootstrap moment
how the fuck do i get into my real /var now
oh got it
now lets try again
its yellow for whatever reason
same error :/
@indigo heath try
sudo chflags noschg,nouchg analyticsd.closure
looks like that worked
now see if all the other stuff works
lmao tysm!

If it works it works I guess
