- you need to use something pther than itunes, that being linux and the thing xrt sent (https://github.com/LukeZGD/Legacy-iOS-Kit)
- ios 6 is signed, but only for ota updates, legacy ios kit allows us to save ota blobs and sign the version for downgrading (requires a jailbreak)
