I restored a backup from an old phone to my XS on ions 14.3 It's stuck on the setup app at "Updating iCloud Settings"
Is there any way to bypass this or do anything without updating it? I can't restore a different backup because it tells me Find My iPhone is on. I had blobs for 14.2 and 14.4...

It was under my wife's icloud but there was no erase option, I removed it but the mac still wont let me restore a different backup. FML

I dont understand how apple can have it "find my" enabled but not have it show up, or able to be erased.

no it was an ios12 backup but it did have the block updates checked on the source phone. I forgot about that when the backup was made

I was able to use a 2 letter banned tool starting with the third number to deactivate and then reactivate + skip setup.
Just wondering why it’s banned? Anyway. I was about to give up
I saw imazing could possibly also skip setup but don’t know if it could do everything. I have that installed on a computer at home not here
