#Rotating symbol next to wifi symbol on status bar.

Some process is running in the background possibly eating up bandwidth or uploading data from my data to god knows where. Is there a way to find out what this process is and what is it downloading? I tried searching for a firewall for Ios 15 so that I can filter out connections but I could not find one. A firewall or a Network viewer should help find the culprit

haha I would need an intercepter for that

step 1. setup mitm proxy on ur pc: https://mitmproxy.org
step 2. run mitmweb
step 3. change proxy in phone settings
step 3.5. get mitm cert from http://mitm.it
step 4. view traffic
step 5. profit

#

wow, let me try that thanks

#

the rotating stopped before I was able to mitm unfortunately so I'm not going to know what that was until it happens again

#

I think it was because I had set HTTP proxy to automatic in the wifi settings it was trying to find a proxy or something, switched that back to off now

worthy ether
#

proxy has to be set to manual

fossil zephyr
#

I mean on the iphone not mac/pc

worthy ether
#

are you on mac or windows?

fossil zephyr
worthy ether
#

which one is mitm proxy running on i should say

fossil zephyr
#

I have a tweak which shows more settings for wifi and has HTTP proxy so I was experimenting with that and set it to automatic, it was off, maybe that was the issue with the rotating symbol, it was searching for a proxy maybe

fossil zephyr
#

just installed it with brew

worthy ether
#

then put it here with port 8080

fossil zephyr
#

ok

#

fossil zephyr

worthy ether

fossil zephyr
#

#

netfence just popped up asking if i want to allow the connection nice, i just installed it

worthy ether
#

the certificate is installed?

fossil zephyr
#

it says traffic is not passing through mitmproxy

worthy ether
#

is mitmweb running?

fossil zephyr
#

I think i need to run the process on my mac first

#

trying to find the command to run it

#

ok mitmproxy start

#

clean my mac detected it as malware

worthy ether
#

macos when any software ever trollege

fossil zephyr
#

so now I have mitmproxy running, its a blank screen and a Legend that shows some keyboard shortcuts

#

still says not passing through mitmproxy on phone

worthy ether
#

mitmweb is easier to use although i’m a windows user so idk how it works on mac

fossil zephyr
#

I can access it through the web using a mac

worthy ether
#

can you see this?

fossil zephyr
#

no, is that through the web or an app

worthy ether
#

the web

#

it should've installed 3 apps:

  • mitmproxy
  • mitmweb
  • mitmdump
fossil zephyr
#

im installing web now

#

brew install mitmweb

#

and then installing the next one dump

#

Since the issue is resolved there is now no rotating symbol, then I will check out this mitm later and try to find video tutorials. For now I would like to proceed to my next task, jailbreaking my Nintendo Switch peepoHappy

I was going to follow a youtube video I watched yesterday which explained a method where the jailbreak would not break online play or any risk of ban playing online

#

https://youtu.be/iq38nfSZBT0
CFW EmuNAND which runs in parallel to the existing Nand

In this video I will install Custom Firmware onto my Nintendo Switch and also create EmuNAND which is a virtual firmware seperate from my SysNAND so I can keep my SysNAND clean and play Online without getting banned by Nintendo.

***Don't ask me where to get the game, update, DLC, firmware and keys. I'll delete your comment if I see such a comme...

crazy

fossil zephyr
#

yeah if you play online and they detect it they'll ban your device from playing online I think

#

the low quality jailbreak where it changes the existing files is not good, its highly detectable, this aussie guy explains that with his method there is no risk because its a separate nand running alongside the existing nand, the existing nand is not modified
