I’m using an iPhone 8 on 16.7.7 and I followed the steps exactly as they are specified on the ios.cfw.guide website. I am using a pc that has an intel i9 9900k cpu, Palera1n doesn’t start after selecting it from the Ventoy menu. I’m not sure why this is happening. I’m getting so frustrated.

try normal mode instead of grub2 mode

normal mode works fine

I tried both and got the same result

#

I wondered if maybe Ventoy was the issue so I flashed my drive with Rufus and set it up as a DD image and still got the same result.

I’d use my own pc but kept seeing little tidbits about not too because I have an AMD cpu so I’ve been doing everything on my husbands. And it seems no matter what I do, palen1x just doesn’t want to load. I thought maybe the graphics card with DP was the issue so I switched to HDMI and plugged directly onboard. Nope. I’m not sure what else to try 😅

#

Is it possible that my husbands 3070TI is not supported by the kernel?

Could be bios: check if tpm or secure boot is enabled.

#

Hit del key at the NZXT screen to enter bios.

its how my experience went anyway

#

i still have secure boot on, you should turn it on anyway, enroll the MOK Ventoy gives and rule it out as a possible reason behind it not launching palen1x cuz it sure as hell isnt related

yeah you won’t get into ventoy if you have secure boot enabled without the MOK key enrolled

#

I don’t think Ventoy with secure boot on has any issues with booting ISOs though

I turned off secure boot the other day when I tried the first time and got the same result

best i can say is reinstall ventoy completely with fat32 for both the data and EFI partitions, or just try a different drive? idk how your system could be ruining ventoy

I’m reinstalling Ventoy with fat32.

I have tried everything, and nothing. Tried again in both normal and grub2 mode and nothing works. Causes my monitor to have no signal and doesn’t go anywhere

at this point it's probably a graphics issue, palen1x probably doesn't like your GPU

#

I'd try another computer or GPU

gonna try my Radeon 7900 XTX

#

So ya I was right originally with it not liking my husbands gpu. So I used mine on my pc to test. And I am getting spammed with errors.

This is with the assumption that I’m using an AMD cpu, correct?

You can try another USB port but it might not work

It worked with my amd cpu lol
