Id say try getting a battery replacement would be the best option, If that doesn't work then well may as well keep it plugged in always. Also since it is an Ipad i highly reccomend you do not attempt to repair ir yourself if you dont have the proper tools and equipment etc, Ipads are weird asf just be careful!

you should try adding the PoomSmart Repo then installing Battery Health Enabler

after that, check the battery health in the settings app

you should be able to jailbreak it, A12+ or A11-,

then you add PoomSmart's repo, install Battery Health Enabler, and check the health
