I got a phone from a friend that was iCloud locked but to my surprise it can be used like normal but all iCloud functions will not work.I also tried troubleshooting the issue through iTunes, but I was unsuccessful. I cant jailbreak it at all. checked #common-issues and nothing addressed this. How is this even possible.

the setup.app got deleted, so the iPhoneOS thinks that the setup was never part of the operating system, bypassing activation lock but not activating it (also we dont talk of activation lock here and dont use 3u) so the iphone instead boots directly to home sceeen
