why use futurerestore, the version is signed
^
- 19G69 is signed
- Restoring with latest sep will break activation
- Your version of futurerestore is outdated
i mean, it's unlikely but a detached fork could be a thing
Maybe
because i need to test it out before it gets unsigned
no, no you don't
you're restoring with a later sep and baseband version for no reason
what exactly are you testing
the firmware version. i am scared that i can not gl back to that ios version
*go
man
if you have a blob and compatible sep then you're fine
but this is 15.6 RC 1 we're talking about
how i get compatible sep?
you won't be able to restore to 15.6 RC once it's unsigned, blobs or not
either way you update your nonce is gonna be reset and you wont be able to use futurerestore
also that ^
why?
there will be no compatible sep
there is a chip on your phone that is responsible for encrypting your data
this chip runs its own firmware separate from ios
when you restore, you also flash a SEP firmware, which must be signed as we have no way to set SEP nonce currently
some SEP versions are incompatible with ios, preventing restores. this is the case for ios 16, as the latest signed SEP will not work on ios 15 and lower
so once 15.6RC is unsigned, that permanently closes the window
that is sad
to be more accurate, iOS 16 SEP/Baseband does not prevent a restore but it does break activation
so there's no reason to use it
because i wait for an jb on ios 15.6rc
and i am scared that an feauture jailbreak can break my iOS firmware that forces me to upgrade my firmware
then all you can do is wait
