@spring musk thanks for creating a new thread!

Looked online for solutions but got nothing that's worked so far
how long has it been stuck on the ios update page?
Roughly an hour
and im assuming in this time the progress bar hasnt moved?
Not at all
and when you force restarted what happened?
Uh, I tried holding down the power button for a while
Tried with the audio buttons and power button
nothing has had a response so far
Guess you got nothing
Oh to add onto this I updated my phone because it said I needed to
My Wifi and cellular capabilities were gone
Try going back to 15.6 RC. it's still signed I reckon
I should still be on ios 15.6
Updating to ios 16 is the problem and now I'm stuck in recovery mode
Anything besides connecting the phone to my laptop doesn't give any response
https://i.imgur.com/vN3Fl8g.png I also have this happen whenever I try to update
Is the phone just ruined
nope
Latter in this is the reason for “-1”
because your phone isn’t a iPhone 4
Try putting your phone in DFU before restoring
Having a restored phone is better than having none
I'll try that
Actually, I can't get out of recovery mode once I connect it to my laptop
I just switched to my mac and got this
I'm connected to the internet
turn off and then back on wifi
Then try again
yes, try updating if you don’t want to lose your data
restore if it fails again
try again ig
alternatively download the latest IPSW you can from IPSW.me
and then option click on update and choose that IPSW
doing this rn
I'll download that in case
this one didnt work again so ill try with ipsw
I don't see an option to download from an ipsw
try restoring then
Will do
The ipsw file does the same thing on restore
I'ma try the finder download then retry the ipsw download
did u download from ipsw.me?
Ye
ffs
turned wifi on and off
and replugged my phone
tried it with a new file from ipsw.me
Yea
oh
Is that wrong?
no
it’s just that your phone might be dead
try futurerestoring without updating the baseband
idk how to do that but if you look it up should be pretty easy
I'll try this and see if I can take it to like a tech shop or smth tmrw Idk
if it doesn't work
I have a feeling that it’s a dead baseband honestly
Would dropping it be able to cause that
Baseband is what controls cellular stuff
Possibly but very very rarely
