Try
sudo apt install glibc
that's not the issue
glibc comes with the os lol (if it didn't, nothing would run)
run cat /etc/lsb-release for me pls
I assumed it was outdated in some possible way since it was checking for versions
(Could have just sudo apt updated though)
ill do that when i get home in like 5 minutes
ubuntu@ubuntu:~/SSHRD_Script$ cat /etc/lsb-release DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu DISTRIB_RELEASE=20.04 DISTRIB_CODENAME=focal DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS" ubuntu@ubuntu:~/SSHRD_Script$
short explanation: that version of irecovery won’t work on your version of ubuntu. i’ll get a link to another one in a second
oh
well fuck
do i need anything newer than20.04
this is a shitty old laptop from2011 so it doesnt really handle anything above 20.04well
but it can run22.04
just really bad
it’s not a requirement, mostly just an oversight by the person who built that irecovery executable
oh
ok and where do i put it
yeah run the script again
its in sshrd i think
uh
ubuntu just froze up and my ipad rebooted
im gonna reboot and try again ig
how do i "create" an ssh ramdisk
im on 15.1
doesnt matter
trying to save onboard blobs
shouldnt i do ./sshrd.sh 15.1
no
thats what the guide says
i just said it doesnt matter
ok
Error: file Firmware/.trustcache does not exist, or is a directory
[-] An error occurred
im gonna try again
same thing
huh @violet spade
Send me the full log
in dms?
what linux distro are you using
looks to be out of date
oh
try 22.10
ubuntu
because i built those from arch. lol
ok
wait
22.10 shouldnt exist
if one released today shouldnt it be called 22.09
or do i have the naming wrong
yeah 22.04 is the latest
yeah that should be fine
uhh, what's happening
idk
i cannot think of anything user-friendly that isn't based on ubuntu
