“Unable to activate” after successful restore using futurerestore.

I can't activate my phone after successfully restored from ios 16 to 15.1. I have also tried downgrade to ios 15.6.1 to ios 15.1 and 14.6 but also can't active. My phone is 8+, is there any solution?

It's incompatible in a way that makes the restore succeed but then ultimately fails activation

I asked for the logs to confirm the baseband/sep combination, but hydrate is right. You need to use both of the older baseband/sep

I am surprised it boots at all, from 10.3-13 mismatched baseband meant the phone wouldn’t boot at all

What is a “baseband die”? Because I was stuck on ios 15.6.1 to use.

Baseband death means your baseband has burnt out or stopped working for some reason

More or less bricking your phone

the baseband chip is the cellular control and communications chip, if it dies your phone becomes a brick. It is effectively dead at the moment at least

aka. to the other versions

15.1 will run with the 15.6.1 baseband

but not with the 16.0 baseband

Yes again, you didn’t do it correctly. The process may finish correctly but the part combination you chose doesn’t work

Does it say searching… in the corner while you’re on 15.1?

I dont think so. Since I have successfully downgraded quite a few times before from 15.6.1, 15.5 to 15.1 and 14.6, everything was successful until yesterday I tried to 16 then again decided to go back to 15.1 then got this problem.

That was before 16.0 was the latest version

It used the parts from the latest version then, being 15.6.1

It now did from 16.0

You can still manually force it to use the parts from 15.6.1 while it is still signed

Extract the 15.6.1 ipsw and
Specify the bbmanifest and sep manifest to the extracted ipsws manifest, the bbfw to the extracted ipsws baseband firmware for your device and the sepfw to the extracted sep firmware for your device

That’s the only stuff you need to change for the restore. Do that and it’ll work fine
