Hey @uncut reef, have a look at this!
Currently you can restore to the following versions with the latest SEP, baseband, and U1 (if on A13 or newer non-SE iPhone's) for your device:
Devices that only support up to iOS 12:
- iPhone 5s: 10.2-10.3.3, 11.3-12.5.6 (restoring to 10.1-10.1.1 will break Touch ID)
- iPad mini 2 (non-Chinese) and iPad Air 1: 10.1-10.3.3, 11.3-12.5.6
- Other devices: 11.3-12.5.6
A8 devices which can run iOS 13 and later:
14.0-15.6.1
A9/A10 devices which only support up to iOS 15:
14.0-15.6.1
A9/A10 devices which support iOS 16:
15.6.1 SEP: 14.0-15.6.1
16.0 SEP: 16.0
A11 devices:
15.6.1 SEP:
- iPhone 8/8 Plus: 14.3-15.6.1
- iPhone X: 15.4-15.6.1 (restoring to 14.3-15.3.1 will break Face ID)
16.0 SEP: 16.0
A12 devices:
15.6.1 SEP:
- Devices without Face ID: 14.0-15.6.1
- Devices with Face ID: 15.4-15.6.1 (restoring to 14.0-15.3.1 will break Face ID)
16.0 SEP: 16.0
A13-A15/M1 devices:
15.6.1 SEP:
- iPhone SE 2020 and all Touch ID iPads: 14.0-15.6.1
- Face ID iPads: 15.4-15.6.1 (restoring to 14.0-15.3.1 will break Face ID)
- Other devices: 15.4-15.6.1 (15.3.1 and below is incompatible and will bootloop you)
16.0 SEP: 16.0
For restores on devices that support iOS 15 and Wi-Fi only iPads, you currently must use the latest beta version of FutureRestore, see /tag futurerestore for a link.
i was using a compatible SEP
15.6.1
restoring to 15.4.1 with blobs
unless im mistaken and that is not compatible
make sure you are actually using 15.6.1
i set the custom latest sep and baseband to 15.6.1
no luck, nothing I do can get me past "connecting to fdr client"
but in the log it says "failed to connect to fdr client" then my iPhone goes black
after many attempts including working with Cryptic, I don't believe it's possible. 15.6.1 sep doesn't work with future restore which is extremely unfortunate.
what system OS
because simply nothing im doing is working
clearly you're doing something I'm not
what device/version
what do you mean
i’m on an X
and version shouldn’t matter since you’re in dfu + you’re restoring
but when i restored to 15.4.1 i was on 15.1
when i restored to 14.8 i was probably on 15.6.1
thank you, I've been trying to diagnose with Cryptic and it appears some devices are effected
weird
what operating system on pc did u use
macos ventura on m1
