hello again, so I tried jailbreaking my ipad mini 3 with unc0ver…it just kicks me out of the app after 2/32; I think the problem is it thinks the iOS version is 14.5, when really it’s 12.5.4.

How is the version 14.5 in iPad Mini 3? I’ve copied iPhoneOS14.5.sdk /System files to my /System
It’s not actually running on 14.5 because the kernel still runs 12.5.4

unc0ver thinks I am running iOS 14.5 therefore the exploit does not work hence kicking me out of the app. (it is signed yes)

DFU (Device Firmware Upgrade) mode is a mode which allows a device in any condition to be restored to a fresh version of iOS (not to be confused with Recovery Mode). You cannot keep data when restoring via DFU and you can only restore to a signed version.

To restore via DFU:

  • Enter DFU Mode
  • Once you enter DFU, the device should show a black screen.
  • Connect the device to a Mac/PC and open Finder/iTunes.
  • On the prompt that says "A device has been connected in recovery mode and needs to be restored" press "Restore iPhone" then "Restore and Update.”
