Anyone know a solution?
After doing a rootless jailbreak, I installed bootstrap and roothide. After rebooting, I tried to re-jailbreak but it didn't work (restarted and tried multiple times).
Now I can't restore either (iTunes says 'waiting for iPhone' while my phone is stuck on the Apple logo with a loading bar that doesn't move).

Device: iPhone 8+ on iOS 16.7.11.
If anyone helps, I’ll share a little reward.

Note: I’ve already used an MFi-certified cable, restarted the phone, and changed USB ports.
I also can’t open Settings (was planning to reset, but it force closes)

Tether downgrading is the process of using the checkm8 exploit in order to downgrade without blobs for that version. A consequence of this process is that your device will have to boot from a PC every time it shuts down, restarts, or crashes.

For A9(X) and A10(X) devices, turdus merula can be used to tether downgrade a device. It takes more work than a regular restore, but it is much simpler than it was before. Known issues are listed on the official site. If you would like to do a tethered downgrade, follow Tethered restores using turdus merula.

For devices not supported by the aforementioned tool, we highly recommend to not do this if you don't know what you're doing.

it originally all worked fine, but i had a passcode set and didnt realise i had to completely reset the phone, just removed the passcode and kept going thru the guide

realised my error after i couldnt find the loader app, then I reset the phone and tried going thru the guide again except now the nothing works after the first step

one for usb and two for a dual boot

one is fedora the other is ubuntu

im not doing arch for obvious reasons

You cannot triboot chromeos, ubuntu, and fedora

Ubuntu usually isn't great for palera1n but you can use it if you want

When using checkra1n/palera1n on the iPhone 8/X running iOS 14 or later, you will not be able to use any of the following SEP features in a jailbroken state:

• Passcode
• Touch ID/Face ID
• Apple Pay

Additionally, if you’ve ever enabled a Passcode on iOS 16 on the iPhone 8/X, you’ll need to erase all content and settings in order to successfully jailbreak with palera1n.
