I am facing an issue when trying to install pailra1n on my iphone 7 ios 15.8.4, after i enter recovery mode then the dfu it shows the checkmate message and tries to go into download mode then throws an error, Timed out waiting for download mode (error code: status_exploit_timeout_error)

If you’re on AMD/Ryzen, you may be encountering a few issues when using checkra1n or palera1n. This can vary between freezes and straight up crashes. It’s because of AMD’s weird drivers that cause it not to work that well with checkra1n’s/palera1n's exploit. If you’re lucky you can actually successfully manage to jailbreak using checkra1n/palera1n.

Tips to increase successrate:

• Plug your device into your computer's motherboard.
• Use a genuine Apple USB-A to lighting cable.

If you’re stuck on the Apple logo please force reboot yourself (see: /tag reboot).

If these don’t work, try to get your hands on another computer (preferably intel), and try to use checkra1n again.

Tether downgrading is the process of using the checkm8 exploit in order to downgrade without blobs for that version. A consequence of this process is that your device will have to boot from a PC every time it shuts down, restarts, or crashes.

For A9(X) and A10(X) devices, turdus merula can be used to tether downgrade a device. It takes more work than a regular restore, but it is much simpler than it was before. Known issues are listed on the official site. If you would like to do a tethered downgrade, follow Tethered restores using turdus merula.

For devices not supported by the aforementioned tool, we highly recommend to not do this if you don't know what you're doing.

palera1n has received updates to support both iPadOS 17 and 18, however this comes with some misconceptions. palera1n is different from app-based jailbreaks such as Taurine, unc0ver, Dopamine, etc, as it uses the checkm8 bootROM exploit. after one reboot by unc0ver jailbreak completion it works fine
but when i reboot manually and use turdus m3rula for Tethered boot
jailbreak gone we can not use cydia it just crash and also unc0ver shows that device is no jailbreaken
