I am against with it. But is a pain if you got from family heredity or just make a fast password and account without remember it. Apple can't help you remove FMI / AL if you don't probe with a valid voucher

What's a blob?

How do they work?

Make sure to not use misleading sites. Stick to reputable sites like ios.cfw.guide and AppleDB.

Can I use other people’s blobs?
No. Blobs are a file containing a special key specifically for that one device to allow downgrading to a specific firmware. Due to the way they work, only Apple can create them for your own device.

Can I save them now?
In general, yes. Blobs can be saved at any time, but it is crucial to save them when Apple releases new firmware, because they can only be saved for versions that are currently signed. There is one exception to this: if you are jailbroken and Apple has unsigned the version you're currently on, you may save onboard blobs for that version.

Still struggling a bit. Mac M1 using a USB-C to lightening cable on a Gen7 IPad. Starting Palera1n and it goes into DFU mode. The app says press enter to go into DFU mode. The iPad reboots and nothing and the app says it can’t find the device. If I manually go into DFU by following the prompts it goes into the Mac to bring up messages asking for restore or update and the app goes into a waiting for device and eventually times out. I’ve tried a usb hub and it still didn’t work. Any ideas?

What's a blob?
They're like golden tickets, but instead a digital signature made by Apple that was saved at the time when the signing window was open. If you possess one (or many), keep them safe.

How do they work?

Tips to increase success rate

• Update to the latest Chimera version (ideally 1.6.5 or later)
• Make sure the device is charged above 20%
• Reboot after a failed attempt
• Wait 60 seconds before jailbreaking after a reboot/failed attempt
• Turn low power mode off
• Put your device in front of an air conditioner or fan

If I use a lightning into usbc(the only port on my computer) I can’t access DFU mode to start the process.

So I used that and was able to get the device into DFU mode but it freezes at booting PogoOS

Rootless means you cannot write to the root filesystem, only leaving /var and /private/preboot being writable. Semi-untethered jailbreaks such as Fugu15/Dopamine must be rootless while semi-tethered jailbreaks can simulate a rootful installation by creating a clone of the existing root filesystem. Current semi-tethered jailbreaks such as palera1n have the option to be rootless anyway.

What does this mean for the average user?
Tweaks would need to be updated to support iOS 15, check if the tweak you’re installing works on 15. Not all tweaks will work out of the box for iOS 15.
