when you download palera1n to the iphone there are two apps that install to jailbreak the device. on is the palera1nIPSW that has the listing for most newer devices (which lacks anything older that a iphone X) and the terminal app which is where you copy over the key from the previous app to jailbreak that device.

If you’re on AMD/Ryzen, you may be encountering a few issues when using checkra1n or palera1n. This can vary between freezes and straight up crashes. It’s because of AMD’s weird drivers that cause it not to work that well with checkra1n’s/palera1n's exploit. If you’re lucky you can actually successfully manage to jailbreak using checkra1n/palera1n.

Tips to increase successrate:

• Plug your device into your computer's motherboard.
• Use a genuine Apple USB-A to lighting cable.

If you’re stuck on the apple logo please force reboot yourself (see: /tag reboot).

If these don’t work, try to get your hands on another computer (preferably intel), and try to use checkra1n again.

Hey y’all I’m getting a weird problem when I add a repo through a manger app like zebra or Sileo I get 3 issues depending on the repo one is just falls to find release file even know I have the right link 2 it will add it but no packages show up 3 it adds but Is missing some packages in the repo I got this problem on the defnotajail tool so that’s why I switched to palera1n but still getting same issue I’m on iOS 16.6.1 if I can get some help would appreciate it

im following the steps to install Palera1n and I put it into DFU mode (iPhone SE 2nd Gen, iOS 16.3.1) but now it isn't coming out of recovery mode no matter what I do

That just means the repo/package isn’t for your type of jailbreak, whether it’s rootless or rootful

SE 2 isn’t supported by palera1n. Its chip is A13 while palera1n only supports A11 and lower

There's a rootful palera1n option, but it isn't officially supported anymore - https://ios.cfw.guide/archived-palera1n-rootful/
It also requires 10-15 GB of free space.
Another way you could try is downloading the rootful package using something like Postbox, converting it to rootless with Derootifier, and then installing the result deb file with Sileo, but it doesn't always work.
