it's probably panicking and rebooting. If the panic is "initproc exited" that's a known palera1n bug with no fix, but you can work around the issue by sceduling your phone to userspace reboot every day at a time you don't use your phone, like 3 AM, using Shortcuts or something like that

check logs and analytics, and pick the most recent panic-full, if it says "initproc exited" then it is as i described, the daily scheduled userspace reboot fixes it for most people. If it doesn't say "initproc exited" then it's a tweak's fault

I have this super weird issue. I installed palera1n and meowbrek2 according to the ios cfw guide on an iPhone 8 (A11) on 15.3.1. I heard that a passcode cannot be used, so I bought Checkl0ck to get past that. However, checkl0ck will put my device into safe mode until I disable it again. Setting a normal passcode works perfectly fine and Touchid works too??

once rootless palera1n is set up, you can start using meowbrek2

palera1n is still installed even though it's not currently running after you reboot. So you can directly run meowbrek2 from a fresh reboot

then it simply won't enter download mode at all
