Tried palera1n. Good news is the device isnt bricked, and is fully functional 😄 Bad news is the install failed. I can probably fix the code at where it broke, but I dont know if running the install again will have adverse issues since it got past phase 1. Can I tell the install to start again at phase 2, or is it safe to restart from the beginning?

Device is iPhone 8 with iOS 15.6, and the install host is ubuntu 22.04

update your Mac, it won’t work on a macOS version that old. If it did, I would be using macOS High Sierra, or my Mac’s latest officially supported version. It works on macOS Monterey or later. Use OpenCore Legacy Patcher to run macOS Monterey on your Mac, since there’s probably no Macs running macOS Monterey that support OS X Mavericks.

NO! Normal use should use Untethered jailbreak. Fully tethered means your device will not even boot when it restarts or shuts down. You will need to jump-start it via a computer.

Hey, so I'm trying to SSH into my iPhone 7 15.7.2 with a Linux pc. It keeps telling me it has no route. I don't want to SSH over the air, I want a way to SSH over USB if possible. Well, I know it is possible because I've done it before, I just don't remember how. Something similar to ADB for android. Any info would be helpful.

iproxy

iproxy is a tool that can be used to ssh into a device over a USB connection, which can be useful in cases such as a frozen display or any other situation where the device's IP address is unknown. To obtain iproxy, you will need to download libimobiledevice (see /tag libimobiledevice).

This will only work when Jailbroken, and if you have openssh installed.

Instructions:

Windows: Open two command prompt windows. Navigate to where you have the iproxy.exe saved, and drag it into the first command prompt. Add 22 2222 to the end. It should now look something like path\to\iproxy.exe 22 2222. Pressing enter should yield a message saying waiting for connection. Navigate to the second window, and type in ssh mobile@localhost. If you get a message saying The authenticity of host... can't be established., enter yes. The default login password is alpine

macOS/Linux: Open two terminal windows. Input iproxy 2222 22 into the terminal. Pressing enter should yield a message saying waiting for connection. Navigate to the second window, and type in ssh mobile@localhost -p 2222. If you get a message saying The authenticity of host... can't be established., enter yes. Odysseyn1x: Open the SSH section and type your user and port, the user should either be mobile or root; we recommend you use mobile. The default port should either be 44, 4444, 22, or 2222. Once done it should prompt you to enter your password, should either be alpine or a custom one you set.

If you’ve done these correctly you should be able to type commands as you wish!

Hi! New to this channel.
I am using iPhoneX, 16.2, Palera1n via linux JB.
Restored phone via itunes to 16.2 and JB straight away, successful JB(can see sielio and installed initial tweaks) but now I unable to install apps via Appstore.

Is this a known bug or anyone faced similar issue?
