• delete and redownload palera1n folder
• restore rootfs
• try root/user (for example on my system it won’t work as root but works fine as user 🤷🏻‍♂️)

If the device is booting into OS before the jailbreak then those are the only things

How long does the process take normally? I think I Have an issue with the script just hanging. This is what I've done:

Restored my iPhone 8 to factory settings with Finder, which installed iOS 16.1.2 (obviously made sure I never set a passcode or setup Touch ID).
Installed Sideloadly to sideload an app in order to enable Developer mode. Enabled Developer mode in Settings, restarted the phone.
Entered DFU mode
Cloned palera1n from git, ran the following command: ./palera1n.sh --tweaks 16.1.2 --semi-tethered
Output (on first run):

[*] Detected DFU mode device
[*] Getting device info...
[*] Creating ramdisk

After waiting 10 minutes without anything moving, I killed the script, waited for Finder to report the device being in DFU again, and reran the command. However now, the script never even gets past [*] Creating ramdisk before seemingly hanging.

Any ideas?

Unfortunately, restarting did not help....still getting stuck at creating ramdisk. I assume that the script should not take more than 1-2 minutes to run right?

For me the entire process took about 5 mins. There was a lot of patching. Was a bit slow. But it worked towards the end. Keep patience and let it stay on creating ramdisk.

Yep, been there! It took 4 tries, to restart the script, enter DFU, normal mode, hit the Palera1n loader, but on the 4th try it finally worked without crashing! I now see Sileo on the homescreen. Mission accomplished!

Does anyone know if this jailbreak will work with icloud bypass. My grandpa legitimately forgot all his passwords, disabled his ipad air 2, and now I'm trying to make it usable again. I broke recovery mode by too many JB/flash attempts with checkra1n (which didn't work with the iPad being disabled), so I'll need to factory reset (with grandpa's permission). Hello anybody here, I've been using "sudo ./palera1n.sh --tweaks 15.6 --semi-tethered" on macos and it booted only after installing the jailbreak but after the first boot up with palera1n it won't ever boot again to palera1n. Idk if "sudo ./palera1n.sh --tweaks 15.6 --semi-tethered" is what I'm supposed to be using to boot with or what but the phone will turn on (palera1n in terminal says that it's done) with this and show a lot of text on the screen then goes black and reboots to a non-jailbroken state. I can only get it to return to a jailbroken state if I restorerootfs and completely reinstall the jailbreak.
