I have just attempted to downgrade my iPhone 7 from ios 15 to ios 14.8 with blobs. It will not enter pwned dfu mode with two different cables on USB 3 and 2 on raspbian(RPI 4) and my m1 macbook air via a usb dongle. If anyone could help that would be great. Thanks!

I have reset my device like 10 times now and no sauce, Im lost at this point because everything that I have found about iBEC points out that is a windows problem not a mac book.

What's a blob?
It is a file containing a special key specifically for that one device to allow downgrading to a specific firmware.
They're like golden tickets, but instead a digital signature made by Apple that was saved at the time when the signing window was open. If you possess one (or many), keep them safe.

How do they work?
They can be used in a program called futurerestore to restore to a firmware in which the SEP/Baseband is compatible. To check SEP/Baseband compatibility, check /tag sepbb.

Make sure to not use misleading sites.

Regardless of SEP/Baseband compatibility, any/all blobs should be saved for future downgrading abilities.

Can I save them now?
Of course. Blobs can be saved at any time, but it is crucial to save them when Apple releases new firmware, because they can only be saved for versions that are currently signed.There is one exception to this: if you are jailbroken and Apple has unsigned the version you're currently on, you may save onboard blobs for that version.

Currently you can restore to the following versions with the latest SEP and baseband for your device:

Devices that only support up to iOS 12:
11.3-12.5.5

A8 devices which can run iOS 13 and later:
14.0-15.4

A9-A10 devices:
14.0-15.4

A11 devices:

• iPhone 8/8 Plus: 14.3-15.4
• iPhone X: 15.4 (restoring to 14.3-15.3.1 will break Face ID)

A12 devices:

• Devices without Face ID: 14.0-15.4
• Devices with Face ID: 15.4 (restoring to 14.0-15.3.1 will break Face ID)

A13-A15/M1 devices:

• iPhone SE 2020 and all Touch ID iPads: 14.0-15.4
• Face ID iPads: 15.4 (restoring to 14.0-15.3.1 will break Face ID)
• Other devices: 15.4 (15.3.1 and below is incompatible and will bootloop you)

For restores on devices that support iOS 15 and Wi-Fi only iPads, you currently must use the latest beta version of FutureRestore, see /tag futurerestore for a link.
