Hi guys,

I'm stuck rn. When I want to put my iPhone in pwndfu mode for FRGUI following the guide on GitHub, I got an error. "No Apple device in DFU Mode 0x1227 detected after 5.00 second timeout. Exiting." and reboot.

I tried every USB ports, two different cables but I won't let me go in pwndfu mode... What can I do ? Thanks.

Okay. It goes in pwndfu mode now (on laptop intel cpu) but while restoring, it says : "Error: Unable to send IBSS component: Unable to upload data to device" and it stops.

Maybe the version I'm trying to restore didn't work anymore.

ipwndfu -p && ipwndfu —patch-sigchecks && ipwndfu —repair-heap

I just don’t quite understand the process of retrieving the onboard blobs and if that is possible on a10 at all. I have yet to find any information that would indicate it isn’t possible. I get the device into a pwned dfu with the custom screen telling me it’s retrieving the onboard blobs, then it fails. I understand 14->13 is what the software was last updated to do, so it’s probably something incompatible with 15.4 I’d imagine.

@hard holly no. Got the iPhone 7+ from family, on 15.4 already. I squeezed my 12 pro max onto 15.1 with the 15.3rc blobs. I thought I was screwed because I almost started the restore process with the 15.3 blobs, then got the discord notification that it was unsigned while I was taking a restroom break. I had the device already rootfs and plugged in ready to go, and a bathroom break saved me from bricking it. Idk what kind of damage would of happened if they unsigned it mid restore.

You should be fine just to hit restore now

It'll begin then boot your device to recovery mode (plug in screen) if it's successfully set the nonce

From then you uncheck set nonce and pwned restore

should work (I'm on my windows side rn. I cant test)
What it does

1. uses sudo to ask for admin permissions (needed for this script)
2. calls bash to execute the command
3. -c tells bash to execute the output of the script
4. curl is called. -f prevents it from spitting out any html error codes (so bash doesn't run it) and -ssl gets the script using ssl
5. the linux_fix.sh script is loaded. This should work as long as you have curl installed

its just a simpler way to download and run the script compared to downloading the script, cd'ing to downloads and executing it

Also this is where you make sure nothing important is on the usb drive

Open up etcher

(Can't remember if it's an installer or standalone)

But make sure it's installed nonetheless

Open it up

Select the downloaded Ubuntu iso with the "select image" button

Select your usb drive with the "select drive" button

Then hit write

It should then bake your usb drive into a bootable usb
