But what should i do then
Can you show me your setup, like the folder with the blobs and that stuff
I dont know you deleted the temp files yes ?
Also make sure you’re trusting the phone through finder and are jailbroken
I did yes
Then sadly i have no clue and Cryptic has to check
You go to finder and click on the phone on the left side
You have too much in the folder
You need just 3 things
The blobs the firmware and the fr
Create a folder on your desktop called FR
And put those 3 things in it
the trust will popup as an alert menu on the phone not finder
it won't appear if you are already in recovery mode
Wait why are you in recovery mode ?
Not in recovery mode rn
Oh I mean like before you’re in recovery mode
For me every time the phone restarted I had to trust it again through finder
@valid adder isnt the error 35 an ssl error ?
It only asks me to trust the phone after I get to the part where it tries to go into recovery. I trust it and run it again
Is that fine?
But he can open the site fine with the browser
The web browser is fine
Just curl is having ssl problems on their machine
Yeah but shouldnt curl use the same ?
So how can i solve that
Ah yeah correct mh
Idk i was just saving as much blobs as i could
And that’s the only one i have below 14.8
But what you want to do ? to which ios you want to go ?
I suppose that would work , for me before I type in any command in terminal I was given the option to trust the phone every time it restarted. But I guess as long as it’s trusted and jaiobroken it should work
It and 14.7
Restore
And erase all dara
Data
So usb a , 3 things in folder all named correctly and trusted and jailbroken and it should work
What error are you even getting ?
Also that’s the same version i have installed on my phone
ls -lath /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt @grand elk what does this output
"Device did not disconnct. Possibly invalid iBEC. REset device and try again"
You are on iOS 14.7.1 and want to delete all data ?
Yes
Do you have usb a to lighting and an apple adaptor ?
@unique fossil reboot device and try again
if it still fails maybe you are using usb-c?
im using a usb a to lightning cable with a usb a to usb c adapter
adapter isnt from apple though. does that matter?
I used one of these
Judging by the fact that the cable makes or breaks the thing I wouldn’t be surprised if the adaptor also affects it
oof that'd be so annoying cause idk how id even get one of those in time
eclipsa log

I have no clue if it would make a difference but you’re on Big Sur and I was on Monterey, I mean you might as well update , what do you have to lose
Don't update
@valid adder Futurerestore GUI's log
USB sometimes works properly on below 11.2.3
But it isn’t working for him right now :/
sometimes
I would try all the possibilities given the window could close at any moment
Yes true
@spare sonnet sometimes eclipsa says success even when dfu mode has been smashed to bits
Ready to try a very precise replug trick?
yes lol @grim wren
are you on m1 mac?
ya
It’s still not able to download the file
you should be using arm64 RELEASE instead of x86_64 RELEASE
hey folks, I got this error. Any idea what to do?
[exception]:
what=verification failed!
code=84279308

When you see sending ibec/waiting for device to disconnect, unplug your phone from the usb-c end and plug it back in as fast as humanly possible
It might take a few tries
Just double check one more time , go to the Apple logo up top in the left corner and go to the about
Does it say M1 there ?
If so use arm release
yup apple m1 >.< im so dumb lol

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install ca-certificates
@grand elk
Everyone trying to help Cryptic one message fixxed 😄
Anyone care to take a look and explain whats going on? I downloaded the 15.1 rc firmware.
your blob is probably not valid what device do you have and can you send the blob
We had another guy with this problem he used the wrong blobs from another device
ah interesting
@real igloo I figured it out. I had the wrong ipsw selected.
Or that yes
@real igloo Thank you.
Where can i find this /temp file
sudo apt install iputils-ping
ping api.ipsw.me -c 4
@grand elk show output of second command
bruh. sitll the same error 😦 @surreal oak
@zenith badge now send full fr log
kk
ping api.m1sta.xyz -c 4
@grand elk
@valid adder I stopped using Eclipsa and went to Pwned dfu mode with ipwnder_lite and nonce was set!
@spare sonnet nice yah eclipsa is hard to get to work
it works for me because I suspend apple daemons
sudo killall -STOP AMPDevicesAgent AMPDeviceDiscoveryAgent MobileDeviceUpdater
Where would I find the log? sorry if that's a dumb question lol
cli or gui
sudo rm -rf /tmp/{firmwares.json,futurerestore,tsschecker}
@grand elk then try fr again
So you have the right release , only 3 items in the folder
pretty sure. usb a to lightning and usb a to usb c adapter too
Legit the only thing I can think of for you to try every cable and adapter at home
And if that doesn’t work update to Monterey ?
Also maybe restart the laptop I did that too
the reason I can't fix this is because I don't have m1 I only have two hackintosh's and an intel usb-c mac
do i need to restore rootfs to use futurerestore?
would it be worth it to install a vm for ubuntu?
you talking about what I used for futurerestore? I used cli
same thing
@zenith badge then there is no log, use the universal save hotkey when focused in terminal
/tmp/firmwares.json
now it's curl code 28
i have no folder called /tmp
yes you do
unless you deleted it by typing this command wrong
man I feel dumb but everything I'm trying to save the terminal isn't working
nooo i never did
@zenith badge mac or linux
I'm using ubuntu, so linux
ctrl + s when you focus in the window should work
would it usually give me some kind of prompt after doing so?
yes
because it isn't
then you aren't focused in the window
Maybe the "shortcut" isnt forwarded to the ubuntu vm ?
perhaps
damnit I just closed the terminal by accident. I guess I could do it again and then get the log after that
just run fr again
yeah
does linux_fix.sh only support arch and ubuntu
@daring pulsar yes because I don't have debian or fedora
which linux do u have
debian
I'll do that sooner or later
never adding kali support because I don't support 12 year old script kiddies
im racing against the clock to get on 15.1.1
Don't understand why people run Kali when not trying to look like they're hacking the government
that was me yesterday for adding 15.3 RC support
it has been
make sure you are using build number v275
./futurerestore --help
i been on 14.1 since christmas 2020 i believe
Damn you been waitin
@celest basalt the guide is pinned its required that you have -g -i
its not been fun. everything is broken
hi, is there no way to downgrade ipad air 3 (a12) ios15.4 to 15.0 (i have blobs)?
Not until you have a jailbreak
You could downgrade to 15.3RC just to be as physically low as possible
actually i have 14.8 right now currently
Lol, time to get moving then
ya im racing against an Ubuntu liveusb download and the RC sign
very excited
@valid adder RESTORE SUCCEEDED! Thank you. Just sad because the pinned command was missing the perserve data option, so my watch doesnt work, which was the whole idea of me updating.
Bruh it's on Mojave tho
should i just stay on a12 ipad 14.8? i have a feeling this configuration will be the only thing left out... with taurine working on ios15
taurine will only support up to 15.1.1 on a12
s0n
If i erase all data will it update ?
yep @celest basalt
@daring pulsar from 15.0 to 15.1.1 presumably? not 14.8
Take care to make the size of the drive big enough
i wonder if youll beat my slow ubuntu download
yes, she said she isnt working on ios 14 anymore
I have fast internet + two network interfaces + aria2c
so yes I will
pissed
does it matter that I restored rootfs then tried going through the futurerestore process? Already set nonce and all that stuff
you need to rootfs restore if you are using --update
how long will updating to 15.1 with the 15.3RC sep work for?
rootfs is always a safer bet regardless
until RC is unsigned
Having blobs for both ? Then take 15.1.1
the pinned message says to do an itunes backup, is a backup to icloud good enough?
you can't modify icloud backup so if you need to modify you are fucked @wet pagoda
Okay ty
Will add that to my message which is pinned
just did a rootfs restore
this terminal just doesn't want to save smh
can't find any save options
I could copy the most recent stuff, would be better than nothing?
everything from downloading SE firmware on
though I guess it'd be better to just figure out how to save this thing
Then ctr + a select all then copy then paste in pastebin
lol i just more or less ran all of this and it worked
Bruh. I used my brothers Mac with an intel processor and same error. I made sure to use x86_64
Only possibility for failure is it's on macOS 10.6 or something
I guess the only thing I have left to try is either update my brothers laptop, or do the usb replug trick. Fml
Not a Mac os Version thing
Hydrate was saying usb sometimes doesn't work under something like 11.4 or something
Below 11.2.3 iirc
simple as. much appreciated
Looking to downgrade your device? Check if you can below.
Unsigned firmwares
If you're trying to downgrade to an unsigned version of iOS, you will need to meet specific requirements in order to downgrade.
These requirements include having a Jailbroken device, [Blobs](#bot-commands message), and being in the sep/bb range of downgrading. (If you're on A11 or below the jailbreak requirement isn't needed).
If you meet these specific requirements, check out [FutureRestore](#bot-commands message) and futurerestore-help.
Signed Firmwares
You can fortunately downgrade to a signed iOS version, you can use iTunes / Finder, or iDeviceRestore with a signed version from https://ipsw.me/ & https://ipsw.dev/.
Legacy
For legacy Devices, please ask in legacy and Legacy Jailbreak if you need help.
Useful links: iOS 14/15 upgrades/downgrades, Other iOS upgrades/downgrades, and Guide to saving blobs
That's a placeholder for the file name of the ipsw you downloaded @celest basalt
@daring pulsar the linux_fix script will now be included in the nightly releases
yea that would make sense
I think I'm just going to have to cut my losses and give up trying to get to 15.1. Thanks for the help all
What why
any luck with my json issue ?
Curl moment?
well now it's failing to parse firmware.json
What’s the error part of that message
[Error] failed to download file from=https://api.ipsw.me/v2.1/firmwares.json/condensed to=/tmp/firmwares.json CURLcode=4
futurerestore: failed with exception:

unless this is an issue on my end? Because this is the first time I've encountered this
try deleting the file in the log
firmwares.json? or "futurerestore.cpp"?
cpp?
think about it for a second
well it's listing out futurerestore.cpp as the file
futurerestore.cpp is a source code file that is compiled in to a binary
XD
it's listing the exception
what m i missing why isnt he using the nightly script
the exception was triggered from the source code file futurerestore.cpp
@cedar onyx that script is for usb fixes
yes I deleted that already
though why is it trying to parse "firmware.json" if the file name is "firmwares.json"
at least that's what it keeps downloading
ah, so that part doesn't matter?
well either way
I'm deleting the file and it's not doing anything with each redownload of it
well I shouldn't say "not doing anything", just that the result isn't changing
@zenith badge do you think we can team viewer?
ill try to help
i dont understand whats the issue
curl is failing
same error curl code 4
for everyone or just him?
does it have anything to do with using a VM?
only kids uses gui
i'm a kid
and anyways, I heard the gui isn't up to date anymore
i think so
gotcha
lol
Guess I can try installing ubuntu for dual boot again, was going to use that originally but it was all screwed up when I tried booting into it lol
dont install, use live usb
I'll look into it
i always install then remove
just use rufus
best thing you can do i just get a mac / hackintosh
Rufus: Create bootable USB drives the easy way
live usb isn't effetient
I have a mac, but it's M1 with the usb c ports
macbook pro*
use adapter
adapter works for some reason
wait seriously
if you need to use one tool once it's just fine
yeah
lmao wow
i upgrade till today up to 100+ devices with fr
thinking about getting a tattoo with futurerestore all over my arm
what do you think is that cool
best tool ever
well, I'll get all my files downloaded then I'll check back in here if all goes according to plan lol
good god ipsw's got large. I remember when they used to be like 2/3g
./futurerestore -t <apticket.shsh2> -g 19D49 -i --latest-sep --latest-baseband <theipsw.ipsw>
is this correct?
trying to go from 14.3 to 15.0.2 with blobs. m1 mac over usba
Correct
what does the futurerestore fix script do?
Yes, if you want to preserve data use the -u flag
Make sure you rootfs restore before proceeding if you use -u, if jailbroken
do i need to use it?
Fixes irecovery, yes you need it
So much so that Linux builds come with it bundled in the downloaded zip
so I already restored rootfs and also made a backup after I did that. do I need to preserve data if I can restore from backup?
@cedar onyx curl decided to push a bad change to master so I need to figure it out
If you have an Apple Watch you might want to use -u anyway
As if your watch is on too high of a version it will not operate correctly
God no
That's what -u is trying to do
Preserve the pairing
I called apple and two different techs told me the wOS version its on would work with my FR target'
but... we'll see
If you watch is too high or too low of a version it won't work until you update your phone if you unpair it
Wait apple just tells you that?
they do if you lie and say you cant update your iphone because of a company management profile

Preferably just after -t and the blob path
<apticket.shsh2> -u -g 19D49 -i --latest-sep --latest-baseband <theipsw.ipsw>```
?
oh after blob
Curl. Moment.
how do i set my generator? iphone 8 ios 14.4.2
bro I am so scared to do this hahah
Open your blob in a text editor and control F for the word "generator"
Tell me what it is
You'll be fine
What device
one is 0x1111111111111111 and one is 0xbd34a880be0b53f3
11 pro
You'll need to set it
I have u0, isn't it already set to that?
Do i need to do anything on my device to set the proper generator?
Paste your generator into unc0ver generator box, if it isn't already identical
Jailbroken?
I can
Please do
Jailbreak according to what blob you want to pick
E.g use taurine for the 0xbd3 blob
okay u0 already has 0x1111... so I think I'm okay
so I just have to cd to the folder the FR binary is inside of right? then run the command?
Oh odysseyra1n, then your generator will probably be 0xbd3 if you used that
Just use odysseyra1n again
Just making sure, you aren't using -u right
Wasnt planning on it
should i redo the whole oddesyra1n install process or just go into jailbroken mode with checkra1n?
@cedar onyx @zenith badge fixed the build will be out in 10-15 mins
oh wow, thanks
gui build?
@peak flume I'm not the gui developer...
sorry I'm noob
I make the actual tool
the gui has zero functionality
the gui just runs the tool which I made
Actually just use plain checkra1n
And use the 0x111 blob
Then start futurerestore while jailbroken
okay
its rebuilding
ive got to download a 15.1 ipsw rite?
@grim wren no I didn't rerun macos only linux
its a linux issue, mac build uses built in osx libcurl hence why it didn't break
here goes nothing 🤞
Good luck
so I just cd dir with FR binary and then paste command?
[Question] Blob saved using blobsaver for A14
Hi! I've saved blobs for Ios 15.2 - 15.4 but forget to saved my device info on blobsaver. I've heard that if i re ( read from device) again I will not able to used my blobs using FR. Is there others way to saved blobs if Ios newer version is released.? ( If JB is not released for A14 15.2 - 15.3.1 before new ios version released)
Yes
ty
does the difference of iphone 10,1 and 10,4 matter for the ipsw?
(gsm and global)
Usually they're the same ipsw
when I run the command in terminal it just shows the documentation, what am I doing wrong?
@zenith badge @cedar onyx linux should work now just redownload the nightly link
Most likely an invalid option was used
just checked, theyre the same for the ones i needed
It'll show you near the top
Thank you so much, I'll see if it works
first line after my command is the version
Little bit further
[Error] failed to download file from=https://api.ipsw.me/v2.1/firmwares.json/condensed to=/tmp/firmwares.json CURLcode=77
./futurerestore -t <blob.shsh2> -u -g 19D49 -i --latest-sep --latest-baseband <iphone.ipsw>
Curl code 77 means server side error
And your futurerestore version?
according to terminal, Version: v2.0.0-test(7d93f437ba2483931ca88541cdf219c84f6e9310-273)
:L
k
download the latest v276 @peak flume
you guys are just asking for a brick
by not updating
77 Problem with reading the SSL CA cert (path? access rights?).
commit count=276:
Curl still broke
@wet pagoda yes but I just rebuilt 276
sudo apt-get intall ca-certificates
also run that
okay new version gives me missing lib error
tf
Inb4 downloaded debug
i dont need it but awesome mate
i redownloaded it, still didnt work
curl still broke
ls -lath /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt
what does this output @wet pagoda
well, I'm back to my old issue of verification failing alongside a new error of "Failed to find matching buildidentity"
send me new log
im on fedora so path doesnt exist, i can switch to a ubuntu live usb and try again from there
@peak flume show the error then
no need
sorry, error when I try to run my command with the old version?
why are you using the old version
it's the version I got from the nightly link
can i manually add the firmwares.json?
dnf download ca-certificates
rpm -qpl ca-certificates
@wet pagoda
@peak flume 2.0.0 is the base version what you need to verify is the build number and hash
saying 2.0.0 is completely fucking useless btw
sorry it's the one I posted above

@celest basalt reading --help helps
@zenith badge you selected 15.3 ipsw even though your blob is for 15.1...
wow that's stupid of me
lol
if it would be easier i can just go into a ubuntu live usb
Possibly
iirc I thought you needed the 15.3 ota ipsw for it to work lol
but I guess that's all just specified in the command, right?
or not ota sorry

We got a fedora fix now
@wet pagoda I'm going to add this to the linux fix script, do you mind running this so I can figure out exclusive fedora files
ls -lath /etc/
should i dm it to u? its quite long
So if I use 15.1 blob and 15.1 ipsw, I won't have any issues with faceid breaking due to 15.3 RC still being signed, right? Just want to be absolutely sure before I finally go through with it, as it should theoretically work this time lol
you are using -g 19D49
yes
thats 15.3 rc
alright awesome
so you are good
not sure why I thought I needed the 15.3 rc ipsw lmao
no worries

yes
lol
over usba
you again downloaded the wrong binary
bruh how
wait
Pastebin.com is the number one paste tool since 2002. Pastebin is a website where you can store text online for a set period of time.
huh futurerestore didnt realize my device went into recovery mode
Guess my arm64 check is failing
so I am using the correct release?
yep @grim wren
If you're on an M1 mac then yes
@wet pagoda one last thing
if you run sudo unlink /etc/pki/tls/certs/ca-certificates.crt does futurerestore fail firmwares again?
Wonder why
It's almost like I've never touched c++ before
what should I do now?
Try a replug trick
When you see sending ibec/waiting for device to dis/reconnect unplug the device and replug it in as fast as you can
okay so just run the command again while the screen is black?
and then the unplug thing?
right now screen is black and device shows in finder
it does
weird.. finder says its in recovery mode but screen is black
Did you put it into dfu mode or
Is the screen completely black, or on but nothing is on screen
futurerestore isnt seeing my device going into recovery mode
@wet pagoda run this script with sudo bash and see if it fixes the cert
maybe it's on with nothing on screen and I just can't tell bc finder says it's in recovery mode
So the screen is completely dark/not illuminated
yes
You're in dfu by the looks of it
how??
Entering recovery mode...
ERROR: Failed to enter recovery mode
futurerestore: failed with exception:

fedora linux 35 (workstation edition) is what settings says
what should I do now?
Enter recovery instead
okay, how do I do that?
Reboot the device to normal mode
s0n
like a hard reboot?
I got the same thing
what=Device did not disconnect. Possibly invalid iBEC. Reset device and try again```
is this a keep trying till it works kinda thing or is something just broken

somebody pls
this replug trick does not seem to do anything
@grim wren any other ideas?
okay
any other way if this doesnt do it?
ive tried at least 10 times so far with no luck
@peak flume are u also getting the iBec error?
what=Device did not disconnect. Possibly invalid iBEC. Reset device and try again```
What version is the os?
monterey
That's the newest one right?
Ya okay honestly have no idea
@valid adder any chance you have any possible ideas? Me and @peak flume are really struggling.
I've tried an m1 Mac and an intel mac
@peak flume the newest nightly build doesn't affect the issue we're having, does it?
it did not fix it
I am using v2.0.0-test(3e1ee20020cbe38b565df2cfac04dba40bcaaaf8-276)
How did u find that?
nightly link
Can u send me that link possibly? I'll verify it doesn't fix anything
Find an intel pc or Mac
I have an intel pc
how do I use it on a windows pc?
Virtual machine with full usb pass through
Genuinely don't know how to fix an intel machine not working with it
Have you rebooted your device into recovery?
I mean it reboots into it when I run the script
mine stays black screen when I run it
I have to manually reboot to recovery
then same result
idk not even that fast i dont think
what machine are you on
the replug will work for you
Just change your timing up a bunch
Try later, earlier
okay I guess I'll keep trying
Everything in between
lucky i have an iphone 7 that I can pop my sim into for now
Yeah
Device ApNonce does not match APTicket nonce
that happened to me, i just turned on phone, added nonce again before JB (even tho it was visible same in Unc0ver, post restart) then JB again, and then re did future restore and it worked
I screwed up. Didn't know that Futurerestore GUI is outdated for 15.3RC. Went from U0 8.0.2 ios 14.8 iPhone 11 Pro Max to 15.1 but futurerestore with the GUI. Now, I'm stuck with 15.1 but no faceID. Any chance I can revert this or re-attempt to FR again with latest nightly build? Any guide to use for the nightly build? the only guide I saw was for the GUI
@peak flume same you
just set everything up 🙂 restoring from my itunes backup
bruh did i fucking jynx it? restore from itunes backup failed
Do you plan to release a fix for iBEC issue? Thx
I just want to confirm what I've read, I'm on IOS 13.3 Jailbroken on my iPhone X, if I use futurerestore to update to 15.1.1, my faceid will break right?

Outdated futurerestore
Won't if you use the 15.3RC options
Is that the "15.3.1-ota" blob?
Im a bit new to this sorry, for futurerestore to work, i'll need a jailbroken device with saved shsh blobs and the corresponding ipsw
except 15.3.1 is no longer being signed but the RC is
you really need to read much more
coz its a make or break for your device
More or less
but the point of futurerestore is to not care about something being signed or not?
the sep reference
For particular components like SEP/Baseband they need to be latest unfortunately
^
We haven't figured out SEP/BB downgrading/preservation
So for now those tools just flash latest
ah ic
Which can sometimes break things
makes sense
@misty yarrow do u have an apple watch
I was following this: https://ios.cfw.guide/futurerestore/#on-computer and this https://gist.github.com/nyuszika7h/aac55c97f7925cddcf5ec3167f85dfe8
nope
aha
I don’t have m1
That or someone with an M1 mac needs to be dedicated af to help fix it
So as long as I use the 15.3RC in futurerestore, i wont break my faceid cool
Is there a deadline for me to update?

or a website
When 15.3RC is unsigned
Which could be any day
darn
ugh not cool, my main idea is to only update to ios 15 once a jailbreak comes out
its crashing on extracting filesystem from ipsw
but ofcourse backup with restore rootfs
Segfault?
yea
what about Dallas or using a OTA profile?
welll the first time it gave a different error
had a nice 14.4 jb
left it
still was about extracting filesystem from ipsw tho
What are the chances of re-attempt to FR with the lastest nighly build while unjailbroken with a messed up ios 15.1? I have blob saved for 15.1 prior to the update with FR GUI
What device
iPhone 11 Pro Max. stuck on bad 15.1 no FaceID
its rough, I hate having faceid on when in the car/home, other tweaks I can without
Unless you get a jailbreak you can't reattempt on your device sadly
I know.. I fucked up .. my apple watch does not sync
but everyone here told me to hold up for 15 jb
how do i fix the segfault ?
why didn't you use the Delayed OTA method since you were jailbroken
Is your futurerestore up to date just making sure

yes
Aww dang. Should I update to latest 15.4 or stay at this messed up 15.1 if you were me? I used faceid and applepay daily. Thanks
is there a chart with delayed ota compatibility? I dont see it on the website that it doesn't support A14
Depending on how long it takes for a jailbreak for 15.1 takes to release
It does support A14, 15.1-15.1.1 got broken early for those devices
Well, the devices that support 15.1.1 as a whole it got broken
right but im thinking about doing delayed ota to 15.3.1 since at least I can extend my jailbreak until June
big fucking rip
Fuck my life
wtf
so i could move to 15.1
with delayed
and i misssed it
I guess i did not wanna give up on my jb
Well the good thing is I learned FR

oh lol sorry
A14 cant use delayed
No wonder I was surprised lol
You and me both. was on 14.8 unc0ver and have this stupid urge to be on ios 15.1 and now i'm stuck at either update to 15.4 or stay at a messed up 15.1 with no face id
my sep is okay
I basically mastered this b for 48 hours
Phone is fine.
Watch not syncing coz outdated watchos
that's terribly sad
Yep
I wish i had used legizmo
Apple is such a c
seriously man
now the watch just shows time
barely syncs alarms or notifs
can you bring it to apple and be like "yo wtf it wont sync"
and hope they replace it?
then return it within 14 days
tell them the apple watch you are trying to sync is with the phone you just bought
@storm echo thoughts ^?
different error:
watch is a year old.
brutal
Coming…

In this post: #futurerestore-help message,
When its written "a11-a12 faceid will be broken once 15.3 RC becomes unsigned" does that mean that even if I upgrade to 15.1.1 right now, once 15.3RC becomes unsigned, my faceid will stop working?
Discord is the easiest way to communicate over voice, video, and text. Chat, hang out, and stay close with your friends and communities.
Or does it mean, that if I upgrade to 15.1.1 using futurerestore AFTER 15.3RC becomes unsigned my face id will stop working
hey any luck?
Arm64 all the way
Do I have to check “custom latest beta” ? Or only Custom latest build ID [15.3RC] ? like this:
Oh you mean 19D49
Yeh
Yes
Precisely
Yes.
Rosetta doesn't work correctly with the binary
276 is the latest
You need that for the custom latest options
Yeah you're latest
Should be good
Yep
Sometimes yes sometimes no
If you want zero risk DONT use it and make an iTunes backup instead to restore later
Jailbroken backups will be worse
Restore Rootfs and make a rootfs'd backup
Otherwise you will bootloop
Uhhh
I think you just, can?
Alright
Better than jailbreak detection going off
5-10 minutes tops
Yes, but that was usually due to user negligence
Such as using --update but forgetting to restorerootfs
Failing to specify the right components
And so on
Good idea
Indeed
I mean, it wa-
No A14
@wet pagoda fedora support
Pog
hell yea!
This is what futurerestore is for lol
The fallback scenario if you have blobs
Which is nice
i just finished the process on a ubuntu liveusb but im glad that fedora support will be around in the future
U1 is only present on iPhones
Yeh
Time to cry if it fails
I love A12+
I love A12+
(I dont)
Based
iPhone 9,2 never received 15.1.1 right?
So only option is 15.1?
Additional logging is helpful if you happen to discover an issue we've never seen before
That's a way of putting it yes
Looks good
You can
But futurerestore can do it anyway
I love imazing, best software
Did verify it and get that hash or is that the one on the website
Ah
Yeh it's a match
You going to all the lengths
But if anything happens to happen then you're safe
If anyone else futurerestoring at the same time in the same area as you experiences a power outage you can have a 1-up
why isnt anyone using -u

I rebooted and got it first try soooo ¯_(ツ)_/¯
thanks again for all the help. hopefully now I'm in the clear
Here's hoping, tell me if it does actually succeed
What mac do you have
As in cpu
Keep the usb hub
Need a donor with m1 that I can remote into your machine
Connect the iPad via usb-a
If that's what your hub accomplishes
USB-C has connection problems
Do you have any usb-a to c cables
If you have no usb-a to c cables then you might have to suffer with the replug trick
Just use the usb-a to C cable on the hub
That should work
I am using usba to lightning and had to replug
You were on M1 weren't you?
ah yeah
Depending on the hub/adaptor sometimes hubs don't alleviate it and you have to use the replug trick anyway
Keep it open, please. If it fails at some point, where the progress bar is helps
Make sure you're actually ssh'ing over usb
Oh yeah spoiler images are blocked
If you tried to send that
Hopefully they're all good
Alright
Fallback plan
Direct usb-c to c
You'll have to do a replug trick later on
But it works
Before the device even boots to restore mode
(In recovery/off)
Is your mac having a fit or
Replug trick supremacy
Just the output from the ssh looks bizzare
But if it works it works
Ah
Pre warning about potential futurerestore errors you might see in the next few minutes
Device Nonce does not Match APTicket nonce is non fatal
Device did not (re/dis)connect is also non fatal (this one indicates that the replug trick is required)
Still waiting
still booting..... uhhhh
@peak flume wanna be a test dummy for M1 mac for cryptic?
He's gonna try fix M1 macs to prevent the necessity for the replug trick
Looks good
oh yeah I can do that @valid adder send DM
I got "attempting data recovery"
normal?
Normal, that's just your phone putting data back into place after using -u
It's correct, cellular models need baseband
You look to be in the clear
Press enter and pray for big sloopy
Looking good
Progress looks good
Anything on device yet? (Apple logo)
Replug trick time
When you see sending ibec/waiting for device to (dis/re)connect in the logs
Unplug the mac end and replug it in as fast as you physically can
I was getting the same error earlier
Wait
Good
Short
At sheer maximum, one second
Preferably try to find some point between sending ibec and waiting for device to dis/reconnect
Too early
I tried like 30 times smh
It won't fail
Don't say that
Chonky sloopie won't let down big sloopie
Just don't
Simple
A strategy I've found
Is when you see sending ibec, try time it so that as soon as you unplug it it changes to waiting for device to disconnect
Or just try it when it says waiting for device to disconnect if you think you're fast enough
mine was going straight from sending ibec to failed
so i just went right after I saw sending
Wym
Oh
I mean
Hm
I wouldn't try anything funky
It might make the restore process angy
Id keep trying the replug trick until he responds
If he does
Prolly a bit busy with 420 admin
It might be
But I'd try the usb-a to c
First
Tape that shit down
S e c u r e it
No move
No problem

Eh
Tape if you want
That or just put a book on it or smth else heavy
Did the restore start?
Ah
