I'm sorry one more question. I just restored rootFS and tested to see if jailbreak detection would go off in Mario Kart Tour to see if I would get flagged for a false-positive and it did not. I made an iTunes backup just now in this unjailbroken state. Am I good to restore from said backup after updating to 15.1.1? Will bootloops be an issue?

Only asking because I restored from an iTunes backup once and it did cause a bootloop but the backup was created from a phone in a jailbroken state.

Hey, right now I’m contemplating updating my iPhone XS 14.8 to 15.1 using delayOTA, but does anyone know for how long I’d be able to update it using future restore if I were to go down that path instead?

I’ve got blobs saved for 15.1, but another fear is that I’m not 100% sure whether they’re even valid since I did set TSS saver before the phone was jailbroken and before I had updated it to 14.8, so I’m not sure whether the AP nonces would’ve changed during the update to 14.8 and I’m also not sure whether they’d still be valid in this case.

I also heard something about the sep not being compatible too if I choose to wait and future restore later

Linux Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

Here’s what I did:

1. Fresh install of Ubuntu (didn’t want to risk running out of storage on Live version when extracting firmware)

2. Install checkra1n from APT repo (you don’t need it but it installs everything needed for FR: libimobiledevice - libirecovery - libidevicerestore… )

3. Run FR with Pwned Restore option OFF (for whatever reason I couldn’t put my device in DFU mode, always does this: Apple logo flashes once then stays black, when I release the volume button it boots in normal mode)
