So I think I may have effed myself by not using future restore and wondering if there is any way I can get to ios15.1.
I was on ios 13.5.1 and decided to finally go to 15.1 and wait out a jailbreak. I have blobs from iOS 14.4 up for odyssey appnonce. I couldn't get futurerestore to work, so I decided to go with the dallas ota method. I needed to enable ota, and I didn't realize by doing this I'm now taking the OTA to 15.3.1 (was 1am....). I thought I could still future restore down to 14.8 and then ota up to 15.1 or just restore down to 15.1 but my appnonce doesn't match my blobs now. Looks like they get reset on restarts 😦

Also per req- good cables, no dongle or anything straight to the board works best, get ur generator I’d changed as ur updating version, a manual recovery mode switch needed when it fails in device on “unknown mode unable to put into recovery “, some times u may need to uninstall the driver in windows for the app to detect.

If u found a problem always start with the error code. U will eventually solve it .

In regards to this, I’ve heard some people say that downgrading using 15.4 baseband instead of latest (15.3.1) cause the baseband problem to be fixed. 15.2b1 baseband issue

There have been reports of baseband functionality (cellular/mobile network connection) breaking when futurerestoring to iOS 15.2 beta 1 using 15.3.1 BB.

It is recommended that you don't attempt it on a device with cellular connection if you care about that. It's possible it may even fail to activate entirely and your device will be unusable until updated.

Currently there are no known issues with 15.1.1 and below.

it happened to me yesterday on ubuntu 20.something too

it got fixed when i restarted the live cd (so delete everything) and run the futurerestore as root

running it as normal user once getting that error and running it as root still errors out

so you gotta start fresh

I need futurerestore help. Does anyone have a solid knowledge on Ubuntu that could help me with my live USB problem? Every time I run the install through Rufus on my 256 GB flashdrive I load into Ubuntu and click "Test Ubuntu" Then I look and The ubuntu drive only has 16gb of space and just slowly fills up until eventually the system just freezes and becomes unresponsive.

how do you keep your phone in DFU? mine seems to wake up on its own half way through the procedure. if I do manage to get through the first half of futurerestore after ipwndfu it disconnects (seemingly purposely) then fails to reconnect

also does this weird thing when coming out of DFU, an off centered red bar shows up that slowly gets brighter until it boots into apple logo

only thing useful i've seen online is

1. use IOKit (with idevicerestore) because libusb isn't picking up usb status properly, and
2. use futurerestore CLI because its a bug with GUI
   (although if the GUI just runs the installed executable idk how it could change anything, likely need to compile from scratch but that seems over my head)

Hi all, hope someone can help, I was just doing DelayOTA dallas method last night and I think my iPhone XS lost power part way through. I think it's 15.3.1 time now but just wanted to check if there was any way to futurerestore to 15.1 (I have blobs, but no way to set the generator)

Should probably add since it died part way through the update from 14.8 to 15.1 its been boot looping in recovery mode and I've tried to kick it but no luck. Basically I have blobs but no way to set a generator, am i right?

If i run futurerestore as normal user, it can place my phone in recovery mode, but doesnt detect it in that mode. If i run as root, it detects my phone in recovery mode and i can reboot to normal mode, but trying to futurerestore results in an error before it can place it in recovery mode:

If I get a bad langid once with ipwndfu and then run it again right after and it "works" can I assume it's actually working?

Try to make it enter dfu while it's on the apple logo

A11 has this weird thing where if it enters dfu mode after accessing the Lock Screen it'll reboot after 60 seconds
