To restore in Recovery Mode:

Enter Recovery Mode
Connect your device to your PC/Mac and open iTunes/Finder
A prompt should appear which says “A device has been connected in recovery mode.” Either select “Restore” or “Update”

NOTE: If you use this method you can only restore/updated to a signed version of iOS.

You can update (not downgrade) to unsigned iOS versions without blobs for up to 90 days by supervising your device and downloading the appropriate profile from https://dhinakg.github.io/delayed-otas.

On jailbroken devices, you can install SupervisedEnabler. If unjailbroken, you'll have to use Apple Configurator 2 or iMazing.

Note: This won't work if you futurerestored with a SEP that's newer than the version you're trying to go to.

unfortunately, after trying this written process numerous times, every time when I go to settings > general > software update, it says 15.0.2.. I'm on an iPhone X so I am downloading the Legacy 14.8 profile which I would assume is right as the previous are for A12 and A13

k so i was running off of usb all these days since im a linux noob, had to reinstall dependencies and all that
tried those a9 nonce setter forks but they dont run on linux, and ipwndfu would tell me it was pwned but i would get lang id errors too

anyways i found this one today, while browsing github (for some reason it shows up as first result on google i swear idr seeing it b4. Maybe a new one idk)

-but yea, got into pwned dfu with it, booted up future restore, 14.3 ipsw with blobs
-ticked pwned restore, set nonce to blobs

before i would always get an error on ibec or ibss, this one worked perfectly

then from there phone turns on, get the generator to 0x111111111 on log

boot into recovery, tick off pwned restore, tick off set nonce to blobs

and boom

Yes, it is possible, but you will break Face ID.

There is no way around this other than restoring to iOS 15, and going from 13 to 15 then 14 will not solve this.

Currently you can restore to the following versions with the latest SEP and baseband for your device:

Devices that only support up to iOS 12 (most A7 and A8 devices excluding iPad5,1 - iPad5,4): 11.3-12.5.5

A9 and A10: 14.0-15.2

A11 devices:
iPhone 8/8 Plus: 14.3-15.2
iPhone X: 15.0-15.2 (restoring to 14.3-14.8.1 will break Face ID)

A12 devices and newer:

iPhone SE (2020): 14.0-15.2
Other devices: 15.0-15.2 (restoring to 14.0-14.8.1 will break Face ID)

For restores on devices that support iOS 15 you currently must use the latest beta version of FutureRestore, see /tag futurerestore for a link.
