the blobs are valid but you need a jailbreak to set the nonce, which is basically a key, which have to match both on the phone and in the blob. Once you jailbreak and set the nonce(if you can at the moment), you can futurerestore down

I don't think you can do a full backup, two options:
- just sync general data via iCloud, and lose app data/settings
- back up /var with rsync (might not be a smart idea to try to restore the whole thing though, maybe just use Apps Manager)

I am on 14.5 on my iPhone 11 and I have saved the SHSH blobs for 14.6/14.7/14.7.1 with the program called blobsaver. May I ask what are all the risks of using futurerestore and how to prevent them? And also is out a good idea to update (by saving its data, not restoring) a jailbroken iDevice to unsigned iOS version without restoring the rootFS? And also may you send me a full guide on how to do it because I am not familiar with it very much? Thanks a lot for all help in advance!

the worst thing that could happen is you’d be forced to restore to latest, this only happens if a fatal error happens or if you stop futurerestore while it’s sending filesystem, and as far as I know the iPhone 11 doesn’t have any issues with futurerestore right now
So unless you stop futurerestore while it’s sending file system, the worst that would happen is you’d boot into the OS you were originally on

!t futurerestore you can use -u to save your data while updating, but only if your blobs work that way(you can check), and only if you're upgrading to an unsigned version, not downgrading(could be wrong on this one). Also, you don't have to restore rootfs to use futurerestore. Last time I checked, it unsets the nonce anyways, and you won't be able to futurerestore. As for your iPhone 11 on 14.5, you can't futurerestore to begin with. A jailbreak is required @celest basalt

On A12+ it's a device specific hash
It's supposed to randomize to prevent you from reusing a blob

@lilac wren I just followed the guide and used the TSS Saver app which seems adequate right? It has the APNonce and the generator, ECID and automatically pulled a request to the TSS Saver to save the blob. I'm going to try the other site you mentioned as well

If you jailbreak with unc0ver you can use the tss saver app to manually save blobs
Those both upload and save the blobs to tss saver

If you saved it while it was signed then you can use it, providing you are jailbroken / can jailbreak
