Bet it uses your script
it just has one in the git repo included
@storm apex so i have to update to 14.4?

lmfao
dude actually stole it
this gets me into ipwndfu?
holy shit
thank you random indian youtuber with the wack program that just fixed my phone
@storm apex RestoreM8-14/futurerestore_compile.sh i called it
@valid adder if the restore fails, you have to update right?
@storm apex mf even put future restore script in his bio
.......so it's a GUI wrapper with a bunch of system() calls?
....... and 2 bash scripts to compile & run futurerestore, the former of which you stole without giving credit or even asking capt to use? https://t.co/tNhJtXJ7Fk
Zero credit for you
@storm apex is there anything I can do at this point?
uh
it gave me this error
failed verification with error:

some troll was mentioning that restorem8 thing
lmao
what an ugly GUI
DMCA eta when

Coool !
Just wondering how possible would it be to DMCA or take any form of action against restorem8 for using capt’s code and claiming it as their code?
But yeah that GUI looks uh... atrocious
we caught him in 8k
if capt had a mit licence
fuck
which is still nice but not the same
best we can do is boycott
best we can do is guide people not to use restorem8
dude's already made this before
geosnow army
Which is pretty easy
and it's irrelevant as fuck
eta weners
was there not like an actual futurerestore gui
no point in making a gui for it
how can i be sure that my blobs are valid for FT
@storm apex @dull swallow
shsh.host saves the generator used to save the apticket (and system info uses shsh.host). This should be how it’s done. You shouldn’t have to write it elsewhere.
Basically, you grab the file, set the generator written in the file and use futurerestore
And if you don’t wanna type in anything, swipe on boot-nonce cell and select “list my nonce”
yeah that's nice, but people do have blobs saved other ways that don't include a generator in the file itself
Hi guys,
I need your help. On my TSSSaver folders, in folder 14.3 there is no noapnonce folder but there are two .shsh2 files with different generators as follow:
-iPhone10,6_d221ap_14.3-18C66_27325c8258be46e69d9ee57fa9a8fbc28b873df434e5e702a8b27999551138ae.shsh2 is with (0x1111111111111111)
-iPhone10,6_d221ap_14.3-18C66_15400076bc4c35a7c8caefdcae5bda69c140a11bce870548f0862aac28c194cc.shsh2 is with (0xbd34a880be0b53f3)
I am currently jailbroken with checkra1n on 13.5, iPhone X.
So now I know how to set the generator in checkra1n by using Generator Auto Setter tweak, but which one should I use? 0x1111111111111111 or 0xbd34a880be0b53f3?
This is very critical so your advise is highly appreciated.
(answered in #jailbreak, please don't cross-post)
Thanks mate, sorry for the cross-post
Apple can break the SEP compatibility ?
yes
Hey guys! Any news on a13 FR?
still broken
adam was working on it
Is it possible to "change" the generator AND AP after a blob was made (and is not being made)? Or you have to set AP and boot to what you set
i am assuming the latter
you can set the generator, which will change the apnonce, but you need a jailbreak for that
So I can change the generator after the blob's production date but that also changes the AP?
Mmhmm
ight
you can’t change the Blob
confused as to what ur asking
you can set the generator on a device
that matches the blob
but you cant change the generator on the blob to match your device
its one-way only
I have a question regarding generator, doesn’t generator get reset when you restart the device to enter recovery mode while jailbroken ? Just curious how it works
Non-volatile memory (NVM) or non-volatile storage is a type of computer memory that can retain stored information even after power is removed. In contrast, volatile memory needs constant power in order to retain data. Examples of non-volatile memory include flash memory, read-only memory (ROM), ferroelectric RAM, most types of magnetic computer ...
@west grail
Thanks you! I understand now :))
it resets when you reboot to normal mode
@celest basalt thats nonce
generator is set in nvram which is not cleared until restore
(we set it)
apple sets it for ota updates
oh
then I don't fully understand it, how does the nonce change if the generator stays the same?
is it like some sort of counter, which generates the same value when you first set it, but can generate other values after?
the nonce is the hash of the generator
the generator changes every reboot or mode change
since we set the generator in nvram its persistent
so once you set it it doesnt change afterwards?
does that apply to checkm8 only or also dimentio etc.?
generator is only set one way
theres only one persistent way to do it
nvram var
com.apple.System.boot-nonce
oh I get it now, I haven't tested on a jailbroken device lately, I've only been seeing it change on an unjailbroken device
theres a bug or something for a9 and lower where you can get it to freeze without nvram
makes sense, I did think the generator always generates the same nonce just wasn't sure bc I don't have a jailbroken device around to check the behavior myself
yeah
I saw that
so the same thing happens when you set it manually with a jailbreak
except there you can control it
someone should see if it works on a10-a14
did you try a7-a9 yesterday?
no
I don't have A7-A9 devices
this is it right? https://www.reddit.com/r/jailbreak/comments/84j3w6/tutorial_make_your_device_100_generate_a_same/
@valid adder wait, I did it wrong
it does work lol
a12?
so no jb
now I get why someone said don't use igetnonce after doing it yesterday
because requesting nonce in normal mode resets it
brew be like
Unlinking /usr/local/Cellar/openssl@1.1/1.1.1i... 0 symlinks removed.
Error: The `brew link` step did not complete successfully
The formula built, but is not symlinked into /usr/local
Could not symlink bin/openssl
Target /usr/local/bin/openssl
is a symlink belonging to openssl@1.1. You can unlink it:
brew unlink openssl@1.1
I legit just unlinked it lol
hmm, gonna try something
@valid adder this is nice, you can get apnonce and generator with mobilegestalt and then freeze it
oh ok
so the blobs will work without a JB until you update/restore, and with a JB even after since you know the generator
nice, checking for updates with tvOS beta profile installed doesn't reset the nonce
just need to prevent iTunes from requesting nonce then
@celest basalt yep I used freeze nonce on a9 when I was on a non jailbreakable version, I saved blobs, when a jailbreak came out I restored to that version
(back in the day)
future restore will eventually support 14.1/14.2 on a13 right?
just futurerestored Xr from 13.5 to 14.3 (final not RC); Big Sur 11.1 hackintosh
@quick vapor which version of fr
and did it succeed and does faceid work
@ebon steppe no
sep is incompatible
14.3-14.5 only
how abt 14.3rc?
what’s the difference between 14.3 and 14.3rc?
ok thank you
Is futurerestore-master-v189 only supported on Mac?
clown moment
@dull swallow a new pwned4ever
some shit like that
I have an iMac, so I was wondering if it is also support on Windows
he has a fortnite time machine thing on github how cringe
windows support won’t ever happen
Thanks
unless we find a way to revive the dead
I will go home and do it on my iMac
I don’t have a device to test it on :/
rip southwest
futurerestore app eta wen
Well, I could... I have an iPhone 6s on 14.0.1
@river lantern I don't need u to, just run the bin on ur mac
Oh true. Yeah, send it over. I’ll run it and check if it gives me and error. My bad
him being blind to the fact that he stole code from capt wen
@river lantern its in the releases tab
the past 4 hours have paid off
One more thing, for iPhone X do I have to manually set the manually specify SEP and Baseband or auto will work?
auto works
Thx mate
Futurerestore ios 13.5 go ios 14.3 can use sep and bb 14.3 ?
iOS 14.3 SEP is compatible with iOS 14.4, so you can futurerestore your 13.5 to 14.3
error for me tss request failed status 94
Yes of coursw
You are not using your 13.5 blosbs, you will be using your 14.3 blobs to upgrade from 13.5 to 14.3.
Sir i use 14.3 blob
Request URL set to https://gs.apple.com/TSS/controller?action=2

@valid adder
High Sierra works
I mean, I obviously haven't FR anything, but the FR options will now show up
Which device? Did you try <drag futurerestore in> -t <drag blob in> --latest-sep --latest-baseband <drag ipsw in>
Also, isn't it better to specify the baseband and SEP for 14.3 down(up)grade just to be safe?
I will try thx
it shouldn’t matter
like when it comes to specifying the baseband and SEP?
Iphone xs sir
I think with --latest-sep --latest-baseband should work for A12 devices
I think manually setting sep and baseband is for A13 and A14 devices if I am not wrong
yeah
Ah, so technically I could just go to 14.3RC on my iPhone X and use --latest-sep and --latest-baseband

yes
you still would need a build manifest file tho
where do you fit the buildmanifest in "futurerestore -t ticket.shsh --latest-baseband --latest-sep -w firmware.ipsw"?
Version: 3786d4cd230b93f4b7ade7d0fdebd56b48fbf7a6 - 189

./futurerestore -t blob.shsh2 --latest-sep -m BuildManifest.plist --latest-baseband -p BuildManifest.plist -d target.ipsw
I believe
A confirmation would be appreciated
hey, i have an iphone 6 on ios 12.5.1, is it possible to downgrade this device without the needs of blobs?
No
oh okay thank u
I’m on iPhone XR 13.7 and saved blobs for 14.3RC using system info but I didn’t set a nonce. If I just follow a tutorial will it still work with no errors updating?
pretty sure that nonce-specific blobs dont have a generator in them so if you don’t remember it then you’re screwed
if you use system info to save Nonce specific (A12+) it puts the gen in the shsh file
Will I be ok to upgrade or not?
shsh.host also saves the generator separately and shows it on the site, not just inside the file
is that exclusive to shsh.host?
actually my tsssaver blobs have a generator in the file too
So if I follow the discord tutorial I will be ok to upgrade with no problems?
yeah same
adam and capt said it shouldn’t arx8x said it should
Can you share the tutorial?
Its pinned in this channel
So willl I be ok to upgrade then?
You save my life is work for me is error first time and I repeat that is success go to 14.3 thx
👍👍👍👍👍
Is working ios 13.5 —-> ios 14.3
Nice! Congrats dude
Glad I could help, seeing as I have been lurking and patiently waiting to do mine, lmao

Confirmation above ^ lmao
Congrats mate, which tutorial did you follow?
Thx very much
./futurerestore -t blob.shsh2 --latest-sep -m BuildManifest.plist --latest-baseband -p BuildManifest.plist -d target.ipsw
I'd suggest to follow the pinned guide.
thx I am almost ready iPhone X 13.5 > 14.3...
Will do thanks
Thx
Yea, follow the pinned guide. I too have iPhone X, so just follow that and use the same command I sent (the one Nattpan47 used)
Pray for me 🙏
Your two options is to explicitly state the sep and baseband, but according to some users here (who know more than me), you can get away with --latest-sep and --latest-baseband
so this: ./futurerestore -t blob.shsh2 --latest-sep -m BuildManifest.plist --latest-baseband -p BuildManifest.plist -d target.ipsw
should work
Build Hackintosh catalina
should also be working on High Sierra and Big Sur now too. Maybe. Some A11-A12 have had success on Big Sur, and Cryptic added support for High Sierra on the latest A11-A12 Master release
Which one is safer?
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Im just a humble lurker who has been getting informed as time goes on and has gathered stuff based on what I've read
I think Cryptic was saying that its fine to use --latest-sep and baseband (but I don't to put words in their mouth)
change name pls also said it should be fine to use latest
so long as you have buildmanifest.plist
If you want to be safe, go with:
./futurerestore -t blob.shsh2 -s sep.im4p -m BuildManifest.plist -b baseband.bbfw -p BuildManifest.plist -d target.ipsw
and specify the -sep and -baseband (which means you have to extract those from the 14.4 latest ipsw)
But also
Cryptic said auto works, so you can just use:
./futurerestore -t blob.shsh2 --latest-sep -m BuildManifest.plist --latest-baseband -p BuildManifest.plist -d target.ipsw
I will share Guidelines in community in thailand
Hey man, thanks a lot for the details. I am currently about to try to futurerestore my XSMAX. I starded the pinned tutorial but I have no clue how to select the right SEP and bb... So I am about ot go with the auto. will ./futurerestore -t blob.shsh2 --latest-sep -m BuildManifest.plist --latest-baseband -p BuildManifest.plist -d target.ipsw work? Or is there an error or something to modify? And thanks a lot for your help!
@shy magnet is A13 fixed?
Cryptic said it should be fine to go with auto
so using --latest-sep and --latest-baseband
There I go then. Wish me luck
yep, did this
which literally tells you how to extract the sep, baseband and manifest from the latest IPSW
Yes, but then there is "choose the right one, delete the others"
Yea, so choose the correct sep and baseband based on your iPhone model
there's a telegram bot to find this out
oooooooooh
The bot asks for an iOS version. Is it the target one or the latest one to gent the SEP and BB from?
Should be the latest iOS version, I presume
👀
mmmmmmmokay, thanks 🙏
yes, the version should be the SEP/BB you will use, which is usually the latest (atm only 14.4 is signed so no other choice)
I think it should be this @green ridge
iPhone XS Max(d331pap) - 18D52
SEPOS: Firmware/all_flash/sep-firmware.d331p.RELEASE.im4p
BBFW: Firmware/ICE18-3.02.02.Release.bbfw

You'll have to reach out to someone more capable of helping here
Do you change your nonce after the phone reboots?
but make sure to follow the pinned guide
the nonce always 0×1111111111111111
When I try to restore it gives me this

well, we also dunno if High Sierra is having issues with FR or not. We just know that FR master for A11-12 will run (show commands), but I don't think anyone has tried restoring.
@river lantern mate you stay online and altered, because I am about to break my iPhone X as well 😆
I can help get to the FR process
but I cannot help with troubleshooting 🙂
That's up to the smarter people lmao
I am on High Sierra 10.13.6 as well, am I good to go?
restore keeps failing...
I want A video walk though if someone can do it make it
@green ridge pm me
If you're using A11-12 master that Cryptic released, then it should (might) be okay
Just follow the detailed and step to step guide that is pinned
Ok quick question does that build and sep command auto extract the files?
Would be difficult to make a guide rn, since there are 2 different FR versions for different iPhone models, as well as the fact that FR is still getting fixed for bugs
Step 5? Yes. It will extract the sep, manifest and baseband from the latest ipsw you download.
Perfect. Let’s see if I can get this 11pro updated
If I have anymore questions I’ll shall return
Thanks
A13 was having a tough time. So results may vary, as far as I remember. But it might be that A13 works now just fine and this was posted while I was sleeping 😴 (with the correct version of FR)
Ok well we’ll see. All the dependencies on the github read me , what’s the way to install them? Is there like a quick was to install them
Refer to this: #futurerestore-help message
UPDATE: A13/A14 build is broken, so it has been removed for now.
Ok says I can’t restore yet I’ll wait
Thanks for helping I got everything read to go for when it is fix.

I dunno if this is the problem since I am not an expert in troubleshooting
but make sure to use this release for iphone 6s, as it works on high sierra:
and use:
./futurerestore -t blob.shsh2 --latest-sep -m BuildManifest.plist --latest-baseband -p BuildManifest.plist -d target.ipsw
dunno if you might have used the wrong baseband or something
else, specify the baseband and sep by following step 5 in the pinned guide
Currently backing up my phone, wish me good luck...
gl gl gl
🤟
I am also on high sierra and iPhone X (13.7), so you're like my test subject @fierce violet

wrong ipsw build
?
you probably have 18c66 and blobs for 18c65
Nah. Im sitting pretty on 13.7 jailbreak
14.3rc != 14.3
These are my blobs
Not willing to move to 14?
If my Mac would power on
You need 18C65 for 14.3RC blobs
Oh
Waiting a bit. Some suggested to stay 13.7. Some said to go into it now and not wait since FR could break at anytime. But my 13.7 is stable. No issues. Only issue is my battery health dropping <80% But that can be fixed. So I'm waiting, seeing what happens
@river lantern I can check what version I’m using
Yes, the FR break is worrying me, I need to update my WatchOS to version 7
So iOS 14 is a must
https://ipsw.dev/ios/14.x/ to retrieve 18C65 RC ipsw
Frankly, iOS 13.5 checkra1n is very stable
Fair, dude. I have no other iDevice besides a Hackintosh on High Sierra, 6s (test phone) and X on 13.7, so I don't mind waiting.
Let me know how the FR goes. If there's any troubleshooting, you'll need to reach out to smarter person, since as you can see, Im just a humble boi named analpowder
but if you do ./futurerestore -t blob.shsh2 --latest-sep -m BuildManifest.plist --latest-baseband -p BuildManifest.plist -d target.ipsw
you should be fine
using latest master release that Cryptic compiled since it has High Sierra support
@river lantern do you know anything about Mac minis
"restoring successful". It was waaaaaay too stressful and the error was 100% my fault. thanks for helping. I'd by you a beer if I could!
Nope! 🙂
sorry
Congrats mate
Another successful help from the boi
Im doing it boys! LMAO HAHAHAHA
Nah, its all you guys. Glad you read and follow the steps correctly
@green ridge did you use --latest command or specify the sep & baseband?
nope, used manual
Okay, cool. Good to know.
how do i check the futurerestore version? i was able to compile it on my vps. ubuntu 20.04
Just run it with no commands.
As far as I know it will output what version you're on
Some users have had success on linux
13.5 to 14.3 RC
I know @gusty iris managed to FR with linux. (sorry for the tag Zen)
yeah i saw like 2. on twitter
thanks for the quick help @river lantern i will maybe give it a try
Let us know how it goes
sure thing

A11 from 14.4 -> 14.3 (since my first attempts failed and forced me onto 14.4)
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
Compiled with the script (which uses the Master branch)
Doubt it. They released the libhook and all that. Just gotta give them time.
if im forced to upgrade to 14.4, then i’m done for
If you are using A11 and lower, you have a good chance with checkea1n
cries in a12
If you have blobs, you'll always be fine.
oh a12
I know. But things move fast from time to time in this community. Ans he was about to bail on Odissey if I remember well
According to Adam, the master branch is fine for A12
I can not personally vouch though, since all I've got is A11.
yeah i understand
You can downgrade from 14.4 to 14.3 in case you are forced to go to 14.4 due to a failed restore
since you've got blobs
Zen did that. So it should be fine
not right now though
what are the chances of a dead phone upon a failed fr attempt
VERY low
I think you can though
if not impossible i think someone else said
im a12. XR
because its just using the same restore mechanics that iTunes uses
so theres a ton of fallbacks
i bootlooped.
A11-A12 work with master branch. Should be fine even if you're forced to 14.4
and my phone still works
i thought you could only fr if you’re jailbroken....
Ah word
itunes is not required while future restoring right? bc i’m on linux. i have never done this so i have no clue
with fr
nah
cool

@strong jungle why should i not fuck with cats

I am in recovery mode now
no its not
lets gooo
do you want me to provide a step by step explanation of what I did @strong jungle?
oh shit
if they get put on 14.4
they are stuck
Yea
they cant set their generator
unless they get bootlooped in Recovery mode then its fine
just they cant use their phone
Some have, yes.
Now I have the restore folder on the desktop with all the files, how do I run the command?
open terminal
drag in futurerestore
copy the command, if you named everything the same as the tutorial
Yes, I renamed the files as per the tutorial
Not sure if VMs are working.
Should I rename futurerestore-master-v189 to futurestore?
But I think some had success with big sur. That could've changed whilst I was sleeping.
I think that if you drag futurerestore into terminal you can just start from the -t command
ok
Not sure tbh. I suggest reaching out to someone who can help more than I can, sorry ;-;
[INFO] 64-bit device detected

bruh
this is my only device
i mean if being forced to update to 14.4 was the only worse outcome, i'd happily try to fr. but i can't afford to stare at myself with a dead/not working phone
Not sure : /
Wait for someone who can help, sorry ;-;
Could just be that you're using the wrong blob? Something about your blobs
I think the worst case will be a 14.4 A12 device.
i wouldn't mind it
Best case? 14.3 A12 FR
as long as i have a working phone
@shy magnet do you know why this happened?
send command you ran
either the blob is not at the place you specified
a13 working yet?
or it's just fucked
nah
nah im working on it though
futurerestore-master-v189 -t blob.shsh2 -s sep.im4p -m BuildManifest.plist -b baseband.bbfw -p BuildManifest.plist -d target.ipsw
Also, showmark is using High Sierra. Not sure if they are the first do so, but just fyi
cool cool
latest build works on HS
What else can I use futurerestore on
linux and macOS
Not recommended to use a VM, I think
What about a hackintosh
should be fine
Can I run Linux off a live USB
I think so, yes.
Can I use Linux mint
Ubuntu preferred, from what the tutorial says (?). But I don't see why not since its just a different distro... could be wrong
so I guess
i think ubuntu would be a better choice.
put everything in folder. Rename futurerestore, and follow the tutorial's command line
What I meant was: If you wanted a Jb and it failed, youd have to deal with no device for a bit. NOT PERMANENTLY, youd just have to remain in recovery mode so your generator doesnt get changed
Once you go to 14.4, theres no turning back.
What are you updating to?
30%
13.5 to 14.3
Oof
ipx??
yes
13.x >
It's not sending filesystem that you need to worry about
linux or mac?
It's after verifying
mac
What version of fr?
HS
189 latest master on High Sierra
Big sur fr works
There you go @faint night
Yea, but your other macOS were on a VM, right? Except for Sur, you said.
That could be an issue. Maybe, not sure.
Updating Savage
Would be savage is fr died during that
It does
OMG
Nice! Congrats Showmak
Thanks for being my test subject ❤️ LMAO
Wow
But let's be honest.. Going to 14 from 13 is the dumbest idea...
did you use system info for saving blobs??
Latest master fixed sierra
JTV is the one holding me back from upgrading to 14.3RC from my current 13.7 X on checkra1n

@river lantern I had to drag the files individually in the terminal to get it done
https://github.com/marijuanARM/futurerestore/releases/download/v189/futurerestore-master-v189.zip this literally works on HS though
Ah nice. Smart. Easy way to do it too 🙂
@fierce violet could've used --latest-sep --latest-badeband
First message on the phone , Hello 😆
I think he did but the blobs might have been in an incorrect folder or something
I was between this and the manual, I chose manual
Adam said he probably put the blob in another place when he ran the command
ah nvm
did you use system info for saving blobs??
sure
np. Thanks for being my test subject since you're basically 1:1 with my case
No worries mate, my iPad Pro is still on 13.5 thouhg
will system info blobs work on FR?
Dm me, I'll go one on one with you to help
Depends on what device
ipx 13.5 uncover???
Yes
so i need 14.4 and 14.3 ipsw?
The only ipsw you need is the one you're going to
Having a mac around is a blessing
Ok guys, I will be busy now setting up my phone, see you later
If any one wants to know, I have successfully upgraded my iPhone X from 13.5 > 14.3
I have followed this guideline #futurerestore-help message
But instead I dragged the files manually in the terminal app
Restore done on iMac 21 Mid 2011, with High Sierra version 10.13.6
@storm apex what do I use for Ubuntu futurerestore
Hey guys. If it helps managed to downgrade from 14.4 to 14.3 iphone x using hackintosh with Big Sur 11.2
you can also do tsssaver’s checker but it doesn’t have RC as an option
For futurerestore what do I use with Ubuntu
guys, for people with A11 or below I can give you a deb that enables 3D Touch again.
On iOS 14
@vivid nova can u help
with?
Someone said you could use futurerestore on Ubuntu
yes
What do I use for it
fr
When I try to open futurerestore in terminal
its a wip
work in progress
A13 is currently not working
Why didnt u use the script
you have to compile a lot of other stuff
Unless you’ve done that already
I used the script
just follow the tutorial in pins
it describes everything
Wait so
I have the “futurerestore_build” folder that appeared after compiling
What do I do with that
o
Should I put all the contents of the futurerestore folder into the restore folder that the guide told me to make
@zealous bridge
Please help me out I’ll pay you if you want
i think its the other way round
put the blob and ipsw where the futurerestore currently is
you’ll run the command from that folder
I thought you compiled it already
dm.. i'll help you
@zealous bridge I did
oh so then dont need to move anything, just go back to your restore folder, rename the files and run the command
You can leave that folder alone
@marijuanARM @dora2ios Why do you really give a shit? Seriously though. Anyone who's someone knows who fixed it and same goes for jailbreaks. Are you not receiving enough clout? I'm sure everyone appreciates your contributions as well as any one else who's helped. Why not share and help others instead
@storm apex @vivid nova LMFAOOOO
pwned4ever
Had me thinking it was @full osprey for a moment..
There is if no one likes terminal
Tbh, a gui is much better than googling forgotten commands/errors in typos
Demote plz
Should I fr to 14.3 now that it works in case it breaks, or just wait until the jb is released? What do you think?
Yeah but I understood that the bug was caused by apple’s server side changes, so I thought whether or not they could break it again
Am I screwed if I saved the wrong one (Global) instead of GSM for my iPX?
Yes
iPhone X requires specific sep and baseband attached to its model (whether its 10,3 or 10,6)
Any chance FR will still work since the firmware basically the same for both Global and GSM
I don't think so. I think you'll just get an error since its incompatible. Could be wrong, but the blobs should match the model of phone, so that the sep and baseband is the same as the model (GSM or Global)
It's not the firmware, but the baseband
Oh well, missed the boat for this round
May i ask how you saved your blob?
Conan site and shsh.host
Did you input the right device?
I don’t even remember that question when saving blobs
14.3 only on shsh host site
What device do you have?
iPhone X 10,6 (GSM) from what he typed, I think
I selected iPhone X Global. Should have been GSM
Oh it’s a choice on older devices
At the site Global and GSM are diff
No, for iPhone X there are 2. Global and GSM. I've got iPhone X 10,6 which is GSM
I think Global iPhone X is 10,3
Unless they changed it
Does your device take a SIM?
10,6 GSM which Im supposed to save
10,6 GSM takes sim
Yep, sim
The blobsaver works great
Ah yea. Blobsaver might help you in the future @noble anchor
it reads your device's info when its plugged in and all you do is specify which blobs you wanna save and to what location on your computer
Thanks for your advise, at least I’m still on 13.3 checkra1n
👍
@storm apex check my GitHub for partial static deps script
@faint night have you tried setting dfu mode?
inb4 "what's dfu?"
Try using a different cord/usb
Or reboot the puter
@faint night
@faint night so let me get this straight: you've got a mac, but you're using futurererestore on a virtual machine mac?
Is your device already in recovery mode when you try?
And what version of fr?
You could try 191
hes marked as a genius for a reason i guess, so...
v191? Not sure. Adam removed it from his github, I think
I mean, I dunno what to say dude.
If you have big sur on your actual mac, you should just be able to run the master version (189) that is pinned
and run the: ./futurerestore -t blob.shsh2 -s sep.im4p -m BuildManifest.plist -b baseband.bbfw -p BuildManifest.plist -d target.ipsw command
and you can even replace the sep and baseband with --latest-sep/base
I would stop using VMs
and multiple users have said it works on big sur
I'd double check to make sure your blobs are compatible with 14.3 or 14.3RC
and double check which sep/bb you are using. Making sure they are the correct ones
Make sure to also set your nonce before running the command
Whats your device? and what are you jailbroken with?
Is this right ?
Alright.
So for checkra1n, I'd suggest you add https://repo.1conan.com/
Actually I found a easier tweak called Nonce_setter in BigBoss repo it works with checkra1n 0.11.0 and above
Install dimentio
and then put this command: dimentio 0x1111111111111111
It makes it easier to set a nonce I just used it btw
Alright. Did you double check your nonce was set to 0x111...?
with new term or what not? Like making sure that if you type "setgenerator" into the terminal the iPhone will tell you "generator 0x111..."
Alright. Double check your blobs. You said you have two. Make sure you're using the blobs that have generator said to "0x1111.." within them
you can do this by opening your blobs with textedit and command + F "generator"
You can try this tweak
If it doesn’t work
he says he already set his nonce. So its fine.
Yes. So one of them has the generator set to "0x111..."
you gotta use that one
if you use the other one, it won't work .
Oh ok I thought he wasn’t able to
Seems like he got it, from what I got
¯_(ツ)_/¯
alright, but, again... which blobs are you using? The one with the generator set to 0x111 inside the shsh2 blobs itself?
Alright @faint night
your blobs look like this, yeah?
- The bottom one should have the generator set to 0x1111
Alright. What version of 14.3 does it say? 18C66 or 18C65?
Alright cool
so make sure you're using 14.3 18C66 as the target on your futurerestore and not 18C65
Is A13 still fucked ?!
Yes. Adam's working on a fix
Okaaay
so now use the bottom blob (2nd one) + --latest-sep + --latest-baseband + buildmanifest.plist (14.4) and 18C66 ispw target
I also know you used both --latest and manual for sep/bb. So try using --latest for sep/bb but remember to get the buildmanifest.plist from 14.4
Just set up the folder
with the correct stuff
on big sur
put the phone in recovery
and once you got the folder on big sur + the phone in recovery just let me know
and use this version of futurerestore: https://github.com/marijuanARM/futurerestore/releases/download/v189/futurerestore-master-v189.zip
¯_(ツ)_/¯
beats me now
You need to manually put the device in recovery mode I’m pretty sure, FR has been broken like that for a while
Don't beat me for this question please, but does FR work on live USB Ubuntu? Or on macOS atm?
Hi guys, have you ever seen this one ?
FDR moment
It seems that it's a USB error of some kind, maybe outdated drivers ?
Hi all how are u i futurerestore on vmware my 6 and 6s plus but people say than this will not work why that
most of the time, everything you try to do with your phone on a vm with a USB cable fails because of the USB emulation.
I do that on my 6 now luke 2-3 time and neger fails
Never fail
fdr I think
what version of fr are you using?
VMs can fail with USB emulation.
Also, we dunno what you're trying to do... are you trying to go to 14.3 on your 6s?
My my 6 i only go from 12.5.1 to 12.5 is work perfect and for my 6s plus i go from 12.0.1 to 14.1 and all work i don’t go on 14.3 because no exploit out when i 2 like one mounth
Alright... so.. you're not trying to go to 14.0-14.3?
14.1 doesnt work
sep isnt compatible
For 6s plus all iOS 14 have same sep only a11 not sane sep
I haven’t been jailbroken since I upgraded to iPhone 11. It originally had iOS 13.7 and I updated to 14.1 before the jailbreak for 13.7 came out. I saved my blobs using blobsaver by airsquared. I missed the 14.3 RC update window and would like to know if the blobs I saved using blobsaver can be used with futurerestore. Thank you.
No. Just 14.3 and 14.3RC blobs. Unless you... saved 14.3 blobs
no, its 14.2 and up
i dunno if you said that you didn't save blobs for 14.3 or you did. Weirdly phrased.
A11+ is 14.3 and up
pin might need to be changed. Says 14.0+ for a8-10
probably
I saved 14.3 RC blobs using blobsaver when it was still signed. Can I use that blob to update from 14.1 to 14.3 RC? I’m on iPhone 11. A lot of people told me that I cannot save blobs if I’m not jailbroken but I managed to save blobs using blobsaver. That’s why I’m asking.
*without a jailbreak
You can only set your nonce if you're jailbroken on your iPhone 11. Plus, iPhone 11 is A13, which is not currently working with FR.
So you cannot future restore
For u is not possible to go from 14.1 to 14.3 since u have u shsh because to do futurerestore on unsigned ios u need to set u nonce and need jailbreak
He probably just stayed in 14.1 and didn't update... I guess. I dunno
also FR is broken on A13 so yea
Going to have a jailbreak best is stay there
Exactly. I was told it was impossible to save blobs if I’m not jailbroken but blobsaver managed to retrieve apnonce. And saved an shsh blob.

True. You can stay on 14.1 @pallid wagon since you'll have a jailbreak once it drops
true
Whst iphone do u hace
gang
Now is impossible to save shsh of 14.3 because is not signed
Nick's got his blobs saved. He's just waiting I think.
true but i already have blobs for every version of 14
exactly
Ah ok but if u have why u ask if u can seve shsh of 14.3
no i was asking how he saved blobs for A13 without jb
Wait! I’m still confused. You say that I cannot save shshs2 blobs if I’m not jailbroken but I got this using apnonce I got from blobsaver.
you don’t have to blur the apnonce
And this one
you may have saved blobs but i doubt u know the generator
How do I get the generator?
I read on reddit that I can get the generator through an app by reading the shsh2 blobs I saved.
to use those blobs with FR you’re gonna need to set generator
and u can’t without jb
generator will change everytime you reboot
So all I need is a jb and I will be able yo set a generator and I can then use the shsh2 blobs I saved and futurerestore to 14.3RC?
correct
But dude, again, you're on 14.1? right... you can stay there and wait for the jailbreak
Got it.
Yeah I figured.
You don't really need to update to 14.3 even when 14.0-3 jailbreak releases
Yes. There are multiple here.
That's why I really thing something with the steps you are following is... not working
Yea, I got that. But, there are people here that updated to 14.3 on MacOS and Linux.
on iPhone X
Earlier today there was a high sierra update to 14.3 on iPhone X
I want the features and security updates of 14.3 because I read that 14.1 has a very big vulnerability that was fixed in 14.3.
Fair. Just wait it out. Maybe by the time the jailbreak comes out, then you might be able to jailbreak 14.1 and restore (if FR works for A13 at that point)
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Beats me. Like I said... could be incorrect buildmanifest, blobs, ipsw version, manual recovery mode, baseband, OS. But the latter is probably not it since high sierra, catalina, ubuntu and big sur work
analpowder knows more than me lol
No yea, I am aware. Sorry to hear. But unless someone that is more knowledgeable than me can help you out, I got nothing else :/
@river lantern Is futurerestore broken on A13? I just saw a video from geosn0w that futurerestore is working on A12-A13.
I am quite shocked that like ... I think the 3 people I've helped so far were able to successfully restore. lmao...
Broken atm. Adam's working on fixing it.
check pins
It was broken after it was released?
No. I think there were some successful restores, but something happened, Adam pulled it and is working on fixing it.
Thanks for the info.
Bro i u have u apnonce then u foond when u are on jailbreak after u can do it without jailbreak only first time u need to be jailbreak to find u apnonce after no need
@storm apex yes
Anybody know if a Windows version is planned for restore to iOS 14.3 ?
my blobs have an ap nonce, do i have to set this before i restore or just the generator?
@storm apex will the ap nonce match up if i use the generator my blob has?
ok
No (you don’t know) or No (you are certain there will not be a windows version)
So tried to use FR on my iPad Pro 2018 (11", Cellular) and FR failed to restore the baseband, now my iPad is stuck at the restore screen for an hour and I can't seem to get it out of this mode. Anyway to force restart or do I need to wait out the battery?
Omfg after hours of trying and failing, I finally got it to restore.
Vol up,let go. Vol down, let go. Press and hold power, don’t let go
Happens, have to do it pretty fast for it to work as well.
So that's what happened before I got into that stuck boot
Does that mean I'm using the wrong baseband or something else?
Odd we’re you doing to 14.3?
Yeah, 14.3 RC1
@plucky vessel congrats
As far as I can tell, I should be using the 2.03.04 baseband, right?
So ICE18-2.04.03.Release.bbfw
use /sepbb
When I tried that it didn't give me a baseband, only a SEP
I would just try again? If when you use /sepbb it says so. I don’t have telegram installed to check rn
Which the SEP was also not correct
Lol. I always just check settings/general/about/modem firmware but it’s kinda too late for that now
Yeah I should have checked my files from the last time I used FR since I had the right device id there lol
The number there should be close to 2.0.4 if it was correct. Is it checkra1nable?
no, A12X
