i need maybe some help or clarification because i never did something like this before. i got my iphone8 on 13.5 odysseyra1ned which works just perfectly. i saved blobs thu system info tweak. once that there is a jailbreak for just 14.1 out there and i decide to go for it - what are the steps to take. last time i did sth with shsh blobs was at the time of tinyumbrella 🙂 and with tinytss things were easy

the things what i dont get is the SEP/Baseband stuff. isnt it possible to upgrade to 14.1 and upgrade SEP and Baseband too like a normal upgrade?

If and when there is a 14.1 jailbreak, if 14.1 isn’t signed and 14.2 still is you would have to go to that. iirc 14.2 SEP and BB is no issue when going to 14.1 from it. Futurerestore has been updated for 14.

If and when there is a 14.1 jailbreak, if 14.1 isn’t signed and 14.2 still is you would have to go to that. iirc 14.2 SEP and BB is no issue when going to 14.1 from it. Futurerestore has been updated for 14.

So they just released checkra1n for ios 14, im still on 13.6.1, i dont want to update yet because of tweak compatibility, but i know apple will stop signing 14.1 soon and i dont want to update to 14.2 because of all the kernel patches. i do want to update to 14 soon, i dont like being on an older version. i have blobs for 14.1, and im currently jailbroken with checkra1n, so i have some questions.

can i fr later with 14.1 blobs in case i want to stay on 13.6.1
is it better to update to 14.1 now (losing most of my tweaks) and stay on there

14.2 SEP is compatible with 13.4, right? based on the latest pinned message. Just baseband isn’t and iPods don’t have cellular so they don’t need baseband so theoretically, I can downgrade right now?

Oh. So it’s just for restoring shit essentially

Save SHSH2 is basically the only one you really need to save blobs, as long as the generator is properly set like on the screenshot

#

APTicket one can be useful to save blobs for an unsigned iOS version you're currently on, but I think those can't be used to restore yet

#

set nonce can be useful in the future when you need to restore but most jailbreaks set it for you anyway

Is there a good tutorial for how to use future restore on an iphone x running 14.2? I have the blobs for 13.5 and i want to downgrade. The iphone x had no faceid nor cellular already, and therefore i do not care if it breaks those. It is jailbroken with checkra1n, but is so flaky that i would rather it be on 13.5

for context if anyone else wants to take a peek I am trying to use checkm8-nonce-setter to set the noance on an iPhone 10,6 that used to run iOS 14.2 and is now stuck in a recovery mode bootloop. I have googled that error code and it (obv) has to do with the MacOS USB driver. I thought it might be because I am on Mojave, so I tried again in a Big Sur VM, but even though Finder could detect my phone in DFU mode, checkm8-nonce-setter could not

Update on my progress: After the first few errors about SPUSBDevice, the script starts writing out errors about being denied permission to ./ipwndfu - even though I chmod 7777 ./ipwndfu I still got the error. I enabled the root account on my mac and logged in with that to check, but alas, same permission denied to ./ipwndfu. I also thought root might fix the SPUSBDevice error, but no. Same errors.

If you're on 13.7 or lower; stay. If you try to update from anywhere to 13.7, Futurerestore will fail and you'll be forced to update to the latest.
