Quick question to see if anyone else has this; i recently jb-ed with checkra1n, however my phone died and the jb was gone and that’s not so much of a problem but, like, my phone is more broken than working. I can’t even call people anymore, I can’t even delete apps anymore, stuff is going haywire, apps crash randomly, my whatsapp chats are broken weirdly, messages being offset, partially over the border of the screen so I can’t even read them and sometimes exiting and re-entering the chat doesn’t even help…

I can’t even really delete apps through settings, going to
General -> iPhone Storage -> [app] -> Delete App
And then the icon will still be on the home screen and i can’t open the app either

And when I press and hold and hit delete app nothing happens at all, same with going into edit home screen and tapping the minus

When i swipe to open notifs, the notif disappears, the rest doesn’t follow up, when I hit view and type a reply and hit send the te t just disappears

And I can’t take screenshots except through assistivetouch as I’ve found out

They’re different jailbreaks… if you use unc0ver you have to first remove any existing jailbreak. So, if you have a Linux/MacOS PC I’d recommend checkra1n but if you have a windows pc I’d recommend unc0ver sideload and jb through that. But for the best advice you should ask a Genius in #genius-bar or in #jailbreak

Even my completely fucked up batter thats at like 70% battery health or sth would only use about 10% during a jailbreak if it weren’t charging so battery is the least of your problems

   2a) Do NOT install Cydia from the checkra1n app, if you want it install "Cydia Installer" in Sileo
3. Press quit in checkra1n then run "odysseyra1n" on your pc inside odysseyn1x, or run this Shortcut on your device
4. Update everything in sileo
5. Install libhooker
6. You're done, have fun.

The error i have gotten in my terminal was something like “unable to fetch key” and then “installation failed”. I can send a screenshot after work if you want me to. But i jailbroke the phone with the bootable usb drive and that one worked marvellous.

Well, I mean I haven’t had a problem with fetching the key yet, but I had problems with installing checkra1n that took me hours and hours of trying and researching and in the end, more hours and hours commenting back and forth on reddit until the issue was finally resolved and I could install checkrain (Ubuntu 20.04 btw)
