Put it simple I was on 14.1 read to do a delay OTA installed the supervisor tweak then the config for 14.7.1 tried to restore root fs failed since got the error that it won't let you. Restarted the iPad had the update for 14.7.1 installed it and from their where I can't go further

A guide how I got checkra1n working on my iPhone 8 (GSM/Global)
I stumbled upon a numerous things that I had to do
- First I tried checkra1n version 12.2, realised that it worked with 12.1.
- I got stuck at "Checking if device is ready", unplugged it and it wouldn't boot. I pressed quickly the Vol-up, then Vol-down then held the power button until it started. To get it work I just used a 3.0 port in my computer instead. I don't know why but it worked.

Yes, use checkra1n. You have the option to use the odysseyra1n script as well to use libhooker and Sileo instead of Substrate and Cydia (there is Betelguese which is an application that does this for you but it didn't work for me)

Entering DFU mode on its own does not wipe your data, it simply sets the iPhone to be ready to write new firmware when issued commands from iTunes or Finder, or jailbreak the device such as through checkra1n

hello. I'm on iPad Air 2 and IOS 14.6. I've tried everything, odyssey1nx, so so so so so much troubleshooting. I mean its fucking error code after error code. I tried on a different laptop and ran ubuntu on a usb drive and I bet you can't guess what happened. More error codes and issues. I tried looking them up and none of them worked. Then ubuntu just stopped working all of a sudden. I'm losing my mind trying to do this. Can I do this without using Checkra1n?
