I personally am very careful with what I install on iOS 17 through the Nathan JB. iOS 17 is really valuable with Trollstore alone.

The only thing with being on iOS 17 is that I keep getting times where my phone will stop being responsive to touch causing me to have to restart my phone and then re-jailbreak. It started happening before the jailbreak came out. I have the 11 Pro Max.

I have also noticed this. Snapper 3 and VisibleIsland have been acting up. They work and then seem to stop working in the background until a respring.

Yea. It probably won’t work but some apps that had issues with jailbreak detection work. Banking might be impossible unless a developer releases a new tweak or modifies the Shadow tweak which is unlikely as that is considered piracy

This never ever happens basically. If a tweak was doing some thing like that that you installed, it would get pulled from the repo and you would notice on the next update attempt.
And this has nothing to do with why Apple doesn’t like jailbreaks. They want full control of your device and cornering their own application market. They could care less about your security. To this day, if you enable iCloud back up, then the company can read all of your data and they still lie about that and their privacy policy. They hide it under the excuse that they would only reads your data if the federal government came to them and did whatever they wanted at any time. But they don’t need the federal government to read your data.

Recently, some tools have come out for certain devices and versions covered by the CoreTrust bypass. These tools claim to be "semi-jailbreaks" as opposed to a traditional, "full" jailbreak.

The primary difference is that these semi-jailbreaks do not require any sort of PPL bypass or kernel exploit, which are required exploits on "full" jailbreaks in order to run tweaks. As a consequence, this means semi-jailbreaks are limited to devices only supported by the CoreTrust bypass.

Additionally, these tools are limited as to what they can modify. While certain Springboard tweaks (such as those that modify the lock screen or home screen) and app tweaks work, overall tweak compatibility may be limited. Furthermore, tweaks that require the use of daemons (system processes that run in the background), such as Crane, Aemulo, and Carplay only partially work with semijailbreaks such as nathanlr.

To reiterate, semi-jailbreaks are only supported on versions that have a CoreTrust bypass, and that do not have a "full" jailbreak. This means compatibility is limited to 16.5.1 - 16.6.1, 16.7 RC (20H18), and 17.0.

Derootifier is a tool that allows you to convert rootful (iphoneos-arm) debs to rootless (iphoneos-arm64). This is especially helpful for tweaks such as rootful themes or tweaks that don't touch the filesystem.

To obtain a rootful .deb, you can add a repository to PostBox by downloading the PostBox .ipa and adding a rootful repository. Once the repository is added and repositories are refreshed, search for the tweak and press 'Download .deb file'.

To use Derootifier, install the Derootifier .ipa WITH TROLLSTORE, open the .deb file downloaded from PostBox from the file picker, and press convert. If Filza (with a URL scheme) is installed, it will open Filza. If not, check /var/mobile/.Derootifier for the arm64 .deb. Share the .deb to your package manager and install.

Derootifier will not work without proper dependencies. The dependencies are as follows:

• file
• fakeroot
• odcctools
• ldid
  These packages are all available through Procursus. If you cannot find ldid, search with an L instead of an i.

If a repository gives an error about not being logged in, ensure you are logged in to the corresponding repositories login page. If the repository gives an error saying unsupported browser / package manager, you may need to spoof the user agent to be that of a package manager.

Note: rootless-patcher requires the following dependencies:

Pull down to refresh. Sort by date (tap "Date" twice to show ⌄ Date) and your converted file should be named xxx.x.x_version_iphoneos-arm64.deb (where x represents actual values). You can tap on it, press Open in, then find your package manager there and install it. Do not install it through Filza.

If a repository gives an error about not being logged in, ensure you are logged in to the repository’s login page. If the repository gives an error saying unsupported browser/package manager, you may need to spoof the user agent to mimic a package manager.

If you already installed both I would completely uninstall both and then reinstall nathanlr just to be 100% sure

Generally good to start on a clean slate

Especially if you’ve noticed your Other storage unnaturally large, uninstalling bootstrap will help with that

what is interesting is that you are able to assign actions to hardware buttons

like, u can do vol up+vol down do turn on flashlight

or hold the power button

that reminded me of activator. is there any way to assign custom actions to these buttons?

I know it's a real version as I've got it installed on another device using Appstore++ (before it went down).
