yes, I uninstalled tips and reinstalled it just to make sure there wasn't any difference in what it wanted

When I install misaka, it opens with " kfd mode please try kopen" and if I select yes, it restarts the ipad....if I select no, then I can go into the app but the Tips is greyed out and there is a blue link below to download/install tips from the appstore

You can't have three different apps activated at the same time so go into the app to deactivate one of them, and scarlet just uses a public certification for sideloading which frequently causes it to be revoked so your account isn't affected, if anything it might be caused by sideserver due to it being a computer many people use to sideload. Since it's sidestore the server may have an antivirus that's blocking it causing issues, trying downloading it on a pc you own with windows defenders turned off, as it uses exploits that causes false positives.

Just putting this here incase someone somehow miraculously finds this msg after being in the same hole and because I don't have a GH acc and the thread's closed anyway lol, so I've been p outta the loop with iOS stuff for like maybe 2 years and I got an iPad 6 back in September that came on iOS 16.5.1 I haven't owned anything newer than an X on iOS 13 was a slight day or 2 learning curve learning about rootless and that TrollStore is the new app installing meta even for jb, was really disappointed that I had missed out on perma-signing, thankfully using palera1n isn't too annoying since I have a hackintosh drive setup (checkm8 has issues with iPads on Linux, already knew the deal with checkra1n on my Mini 2) but after getting settled in and accustomed to such a decent leap in iOS I realized something, palera1n is not very stable at all lol, okay maybe that's harsh (cause thank GOD we have a maintained checkm8 jb for modern iOS 🙏 lol)
but it's nowhere as stable as checkra1n is, you can count on cr to basically never crash but pr is always a consistent 3-4 days before you come back to it jailed, even though I've been out of the loop I'm still aware though Apple was p salty after checkra1n (and I would assume the SEP exploit too) and changed a lot of how the technical side of iOS works, that's why rootless was all 'the way of the future' (at least I think, idk fuck rootless lol) I didn't want to try out rootful though with how unstable rootless already was, maybe its just iPad cause I don't really see people ever discuss the stability of palera1n but whatever anyway.

Understandably I was hyped last night to see the new exploit had been developed on and released and my iOS was supported for perma-signing now, cool, went and booted Mac OS rq and re-jb, updated TrollHelper, TrollStore, and ldid, rebooted 2 jail, but apps installed by TrollStore wouldn't work even though TS itself did for some reason I could even install apps while jailed, re-jb, double checked, rebuilt icon cache, looked some shid up, fiddled around, whole 9 yards, I just want muh perma-signing dood, so I ended up stumbling across that poorly detailed GitHub issue thread from a Google search and also a tweet from opa334 about enabling dev mode, forget why but I already had it enabled so I disabled it completely first then found out you have to sign something to get the option to come back in settings, so I just re-jb and luckily palera1n seems to make the dev mode option pop-up too 👌 whatever tho it didn't make a diff anyway, so now I was out of ideas and was gonna start asking around here and when I figured I might as well re-install TS itself, I was afraid it'd uninstall all my apps but luckily there's a separate option for that when you uninstall TS https://cdn.discordapp.com/emojis/1088761680760160257.webp?size=48&name=applethumbsup&quality=lossless

Even luckily-er doing that actually fixed whatever was wrong, accidentally opened my test IPA I was about to re-install and it was already working, so I re-installed over some other apps I already had and they're bueno while jailed now 🔥 incredibly happy that I don't have to always go boot up Mac OS just for Plex and ad-free YT now 🙏 after so many years of signing weekly and going through so many god damn hoops with other devices its insane to have easily installable permanently signed apps like this especially considering this isn't Apple's first CoreTrust fuckup AND there hasn't been a software jb in a very long time, I almost feel like I'm untethered again lmao, apologies about this big ass block of spam but I'm ecstatic to be able to get in on perma-signing this time around, thank you very much to everyone involved in the community whether this gets seen much or not 🙏🙏🙏

Huh, but that doesn't seems to explain why extensions doesn't work. It just simply stated the fact that user registration app will not work (launch), which rightly so. But extensions technically still installed by TS, and they should work (after switched back from user registration app) no different that normal app.

I have two devices updated to 17.0

First one lost TrollStore. I was an early adopter before the app switcher method was discovered

Second device, all I did was keep troll store in the app switcher

If you open the app; even accidentally from the Home Screen or anywhere else, it locks the app forever

Tips app gets overwritten by iOS 17.0 tips app so you lose persistent helper
