What's a blob?

It is a file containing a special key specifically for that one device to allow downgrading to a specific firmware.
They're like golden tickets, but instead a digital signature made by Apple that was saved at the time when the signing window was open. If you possess one (or many), keep them safe.

How do they work?

They can be used in a program called futurerestore to restore to a firmware in which the SEP/BaseBand is compatible. (see The SEP Checker here: https://joshblah555.github.io/JoshTV/SEPCheckr.html)

Regardless of SEP/BaseBand compatibility, any/all blobs should be saved for future downgrading abilities.

Can I save them now?

Of course. Blobs can be saved at any time, but it is crucial to save them when Apple releases new firmware.
If Apple has unsigned the version for which you're trying to save, then you may also save onboard blobs as well.

trying to restore my ipad pro from ios 15 to 14.6 since i'm gonna be selling it today, but it won't show up at all in itunes in dfu or recovery mode on any of my machines

i've tried different cables, rebooting, different computers entirely, macs, PCs, nothings worked so far

usb port is fine because i have an SSD plugged in right now and it reads it no problem, cables are fine as well because they all work between the ipad and the ssd

anyone have any ideas of what i can try?

I'm relatively new to jailbreaking (about 5 months in). I'm not sure if this is normal but some servers or connections are blocked for private servers or modded games. For Example: I installed Phenixclash (Clash of clans private server) and it says connection error for everytime I enter in JB mode. However, when I'm in a non-JB state it works fine and logs in. This also to happens to rebrawl and many other private server games. I'm wondering if there is a way to allow these apps to have connections or something? I have a underc0ver jailbroken iOS 14.2 XR.
