About 1 year ago, I transferred a single video from a micro SD card from my dash cam. After some time I didn’t need it anymore so I deleted it. Every since then, this 566MB video duplicated itself CONSTANTLY. I’ve tried everything I possibly can do without restoring my iPhone (ICloud disable, backup disable, remove all apps that I used the video in). I deleted all traces of the video from recently deleted AND all albums, however after going through Filza I’ve discovered it still exists in the phone. When trying to delete it via Filza, it says I do not have the permissions to do so. I cannot change the permissions or edit the file in any way either. This duplication bug has been annoying me every single day, and taking up a ridiculous amount of space in my phone if I don’t delete the files before they duplicate to any insane amount.

If you’re concerned by the Apple ID, then no. If you want to be sure that device is okay then just restore it with iTunes. And if you want to be extra sure then change your Apple ID's password

Got a problem. I bacfked up my iOS 13.5 system (JB=Unc0ver 5) WITHOUT restoreingFS. Now I am trying to restore to my 14.3 system and it is hanging on iCloud Settings update. From what I have been able to conclude the reason it dosen't FULLY complete Setup is beacuse I didn't purge the JB BEFORE backup (something I never had to do in past gens of JB). The question is there a way to better ubderstand what restoreFS does (looked for docs, and considered reviering source IF I have to as I said I am and Engineer). I want to EDIT my backup (using iExplorer or whatever folks reccomend) to purge the JB remenants thaat are preventing Setup from fully completeing. ALSO note that I had FindMy turned on WHEN rebooting. I have tried numerous methods of restoreing (both iTunes & OS) all of which end up the same way regardless of if I JB the 14.3 system or not. Any idea what files/where to look in my backup? THANKS for any help you might5 be able to offer. 😬

Try what? I did set up fresh. It works. I then tried loggin into iCloud fro my phone. That worked. I then turned off FindMyPhone from the previously "looping" device. That worked..... Think ONLY time u are told to turn off FindMy is IF you try to erase settings from the device, or if you try to restore a user backup OVER a phone that has FindMy turned on (as mine does, EVEN THOUGH iCloud dosen't seem to think so) THUS the need to use apple configurator to wipe the phone

Going to try restoreing the 6s plus backup (made with findmyphone turned on, and JB enable) to the iPhone Xs max, ensure it to fails, then try disableing find my phone/backup test restore to see if that solves the problem, if not then will turn findMy back on, do restoreFS on the old phone before attempting another backup... If that still fails will turn off FindMy, and do a restoreFS to make a third backup/restore attempt. Reading never hurts but once again I really think it's clear the issue lies in my backup. A bit more testing and I should have definitive proof. As I said another person with the same situation had same result, and was also able to use another backup to show that EVEN with the same device changeing the backup he restoreed fixed the prob (this one he DID a restoreFS before backing up). This is also in Reddit when/if the tread comes backup

Yeah, just don't tell that to my ATV 4k. Once I finish this I'm going to try to tackle it using my GE & DCSD cables (challange there is likely 2 fold for me 1- how to enable DFU. Second, timing DFU with Checkra1n so exploit properly loads/installs, and third how to "escape/end" DFU if I can't get Exploit to install so I still end up with a working ATV)

Actually resolution I reaced was continue diagnostic elimination of issues through uses of second device's backup to narrow in on effect of FindMyphone and pervious active JB state during backup to see if a clear culpert can be determined then act acordingly (editing backup if viable given nature of what is found)

Thanks on the ATV advice. As I said will tackle AFTER current iPhone setup problem better handled/resolved. ATV 4k looks to be not much more difficult then ATV4 was. Will still need a way to workup a kernbypass as I have yet to see an implementation as I mentioned of libertylite or ichitaso's KernBypass for ATV (which means no Peacock for me on ATV)

Yes I think it's the fact that FindMyPhone was on when I backed up (PERHAPS exaserbated by the existing active JB), that causes my problem. I now have a state the iCloud thinks that FindMy phone is OFF for the device, but backup thinks it's ON.
I did try syncronizing states by turing findmyoohne back on with a CLEAN install & signinto to icloud. THEN restore
but that didn't help (actually made maters more challangeing in having to "iCloud activate" with 2 factor
and eventually couldn't get past the synching icloud setitngs. Thought I was going to get locked out of my phone by the 2-factor auth as it reset all my devices requireing I re-trust them

Hell this phone is decended from my ORGINAL iPhone that I got when the first ones came out 10+ years ago...
