Hi everybody, I can't seem to perform OTA updates. I jailbroke my phone a year or two back and I installed a tweak or something to disable updates, but when I decided to restore rootfs, OTA updates never worked again. I could always update through itunes, but now I have a linux machine and that isn't an option anymore. Could someone help me restore OTA updates?

I restored my iPhone 12 Pro with a X backup but it contained jailbreak files 😞 now the device is stuck in a boot loop. I think it can be fixed with restoring it which of course will update it. Does anyone know any tools or any method to restore without updating?

ultimately the lower versions are buggier, so i think it'd be better to update and maybe have to wait longer for a jb

yes, i think you should jailbreak your phone if you really want to, but chances are you can't
you can still do "themes" on stock ios with icon themer, or other tools that let you do similar things

Sentinel sucks on my phone, it heats up my phone when i try to turn it on, it sometimes doesn’t even turn on instead it restarts and it takes like one minute just to turn on. Is this normal?

Found a solution temporarily, when it boots into safe mode, respring by a tweak menu and respring when the safe mode dialogue shows up and done
Although sometimes it doesn’t respring fully

thanks very much for your quick help last week but unfortunately restoring via DFU mode and downloading again via iCloud still didnt fix the banking apps detecting jailbreak. should that method definitely remove all traces of jailbreak? is there any chance that something jailbreak related can be backed up within iCloud and then redownloaded? thank you

yes, iCloud backup can still includes some traces of the jailbreak, so the easiest method would be to not restore a backup
you can still sync back contacts/messages/notes/photos/etc. independently of an iCloud device backup
