the problem is making AltStore a single static thing instead of using frameworks to fix it on 13.3.1 caused other issues and 13.4+ fixed the bug so the change was reverted
Old AltStore wasn't installing anything, then I updated and then it started crashing in the iPhone itself
AltDeploy should be safe, you just need to bypass that prompt
I just realized when I was telling another guy on 13.3.1 to downgrade AltServer the other day that wasn't gonna help
because AltServer is hardcoded to point to the latest AltStore version rather than a specific one

so here's the actual fix for 13.3.1 altstore: there isn't one. you need to sideload u0 via another method (like xcode or nullximpactor) then once you are JB you can install 1.4 via altserver exactly as expected
apparently sideloading altstore without using altserver makes things fucky
anything based on alt store won't work on 13.3.1 nJB but works fine once JB

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I've spent the last couple of days trying to jailbreak this iPhone 5S on 12.4.8. I had to make a bootable drive 3 times for Kali Linux, Checkn1x and Bootra1n to try them all and using checkra1n it's always stuck at "right before the trigger". I even left the phone in for an hr each time. I believe my issue with this is because of my ZEN2 AMD processor??? What I've been reading, but couldn't get an exact answer in it as some others have luck with their AMD PCs.
Now I found out about an app you can install called uncover app on the phone which I have, but whenever it says "jailbreak complete, please reboot" it reboots and ii have no Cydia. Unc0ver doesn't tell me it's jailbroken either and it's like of it didn't really do anything but I saw the number going to like 31 and bunch of text scrolling.
I'd really love to have this phone jailbroken, but I'm undure what to do at this point.

The only computers I can think of that has Intel inside of them are my public library computers. But itll seem sus if they found out anything other than Windows was booted on their PCs lol. Same reason for the max at the two Apple stores in my city.
Guess I'll try that tomorrow then, I don't care what they say. I'll just tell the librarians that I'm trying to repair my phone lol.

Killing setup won't make things better
There's an activation ticket on your device that gets authenticated. If authentication fails, then iOS will nag and services for said activation simply won't work.
Basically, this is Apples way to fight those whom don't update
